Danielle's POV  As I stirred awake in the soft morning light, a bittersweet awareness settled over me. Today was the day Tyler would embark on a journey with uncertainties hanging in the air. I turned to reach behind me, expecting to find the comforting presence of Tyler, but the space beside me was empty. A frown tugged at the corners of my lips. Strange, I thought. He's probably with the twins or dealing with some last-minute pack issues. Pushing the thought aside, I swung my legs out of bed, feeling the cool floor beneath my feet.
