I am impatiently waiting for the nurse to come in with my discharge instructions. I can not wait to get out of this joint. Three days in the hospital is more than enough. I only have a slight headache now. The nausea and dizziness are gone, mostly. I hear the toilet flush and the water running in the sink before my dad steps out of the restroom.
"I wish they would hurry up with those papers," I tell him.
"Yeah, this is always the worst part, waiting on those discharge papers," dad agrees. "Are you sure you are ok with me going out of town so soon after this?
