Hazel eyes

Later in the evening. Liam rested his back in the chair, staring at his brother, Jason, who kept gulping down his tequila shot. "Do you think Aiden is okay?" Liam asked. He couldn't get over the thought that his mood changed suddenly, and the Silver Moonpack also left like they'd achieved something. "He's fine. You're getting worked up for nothing." Jason replied. He pushed a shot glass closer to him and poured him a shot. "Drink. You need to gain energy back. Those Silver Moon packs really drained us." Liam scoffed, surprised he only cared about enjoying himself. "This will give you no energy, but problems, Jason." Jason suggested they go to a bar to drink after fighting off the Silver Moon pack, but there he was, worried about Aiden. "You're such a fun killer." Jason scoffed lightly. Then silence enveloped him for a while before he spoke again. "So, you trust that witch now?" He asked, dipping half a lime into his mouth. "I'm giving her a chance." He replied, but Jason burst out, laughing. "That sounds like you don't. You looked like you wouldn't give her a chance to speak the last time. Has something changed? Is she pretty?" "I don't want to have this conversation." He asked, staring at him, but Jason's laugh only increased. "I'm just being honest. You and Aiden are both stuck with women you can't get rid of. Don't you think it might be the moon...? "This is different, Jason." He cut him off, followed by a sigh. "She's a witch... and she's only helping me." He didn't mention her not having her powers yet to him. Jason smiled, moving close to the edge of the chair. "Ok. Since Aiden wouldn't let Amelia go, will you give her to me then?" He teased, raising an eyebrow. "Shut up, Jason. She's not a property." "Oh my! Did I hit a nerve?" He asked, still smiling, but Liam just stood up without a word. He didn't want to be, at least not after a long day at work, but Jason dragged him to the bar, saying he had something important to discuss. "Hey, wait. Are you angry? Ok, I'm sorry." He said, but Liam didn't look back at him. Jason smiled, looking at the entrance he just walked out through. He also stood up and walked out. He stood in front of the building, which was darker than he expected. People were already entering the building to go party in the club, but he didn't want to. His head was already feeling heavy, and he didn't want to add to it. He took a corner and walked into an alley. Just then, he heard a few voices as he walked closer. He stopped when he caught sight of the scene. A lady beating up two hefty men. "Wow." He muttered. Tall and slim in black leather pants and a jacket. Her long black hair with purple bangs fell on her shoulders. He could only see a side of her face from where he was, and that alone was enough to guess how beautiful she looked. He wanted to help at first, but he stayed back because she seemed to be getting a hold of the situation. Punching, throwing them into the dumpster. The men had to run for their lives. Jason stayed quietly where he was, watching her next move. She kept looking behind a dumpster. He wondered what it was there that caught her attention. He needed to talk to her. He can't leave without talking to a beautiful lady like her. *** "Are you sure he's in there?" Her gaze was fixed on the entrance, with different ladies and men lined up to enter. "Yes, ma'am." The man sitting in the driver's seat answered She didn't say a word, just kept staring until she saw him come out with the hefty man she sent into the club. He swayed close to the car and knocked lightly on the tinted glass while the men stood behind him. The window wound down slowly. "Oh, sister. I know... It's you." He started swaying left and right while she just stared at him without a word. "You left the big mansion..." he burped. "To come to a place like this." He mocked. "Get him into the car." She commanded the man, but before the man could get hold of him, he punched him in the face and ran towards an alley. "s**t. I have to get everything done myself." She gritted her teeth as she pulled the car open. She ran after him, the man following behind. It didn't take long for them to catch up with him. In a split second, she pulled him and pinned him to the ground. "Let me go, Tanya! I'm your f*****g older brother!" He tried to scream with his face held to the ground. "And I'm helping you, Mark. Father won't be pleased to see you drunk." She replied. She got up and pulled him up. "Take him." She said to the man behind her. "Let me go. It's none of your f*****g business!" He screamed as the man dragged him away. She also took a few steps to leave when she heard a faint sound. The lights from the buildings were enough to see what it was. Meow. The faint sound again. She stared at the ginger cat, hiding behind a stack of boxes. She could tell it was injured, but she couldn't understand why she was standing, staring at the cat Just then, a voice woke her. "What's a pretty chick like you looking for in a place like this?" She heard a man's voice, followed by the laughter of another. She didn't look back at them; she just turned to leave when one of them suddenly grabbed her hand. "Can't you hear? Playing hard to get, huh?" She looked up at him. "Let go." Her voice was calm but enough to show the anger rising. The man laughed. "I like my woman a bit fierce." She scoffed, grabbed his hand, and twisted it sharply. The man yelped, falling to his knees. "Let him go, b***h!" The other one shouted, lunging towards her. She ducked, sidestepped, and kicked his legs. He fell hard, cursing as his head hit the ground. The first man tried to stand, but she grabbed him by the collar and slammed him against a wall. His breath hitched when he saw her eyes, cold, steady, and unflinching. "Leave before I cut off all your limbs." The other one quickly ran to his friend and dragged him away. She exhaled slowly, adjusting her coat as if nothing had happened. "Wow," she heard behind her. She rolled her eyes, wondering why there are so many goons in the alley. She turned to leave, but not before taking a glimpse at him. But a glimpse became two seconds and more. It's him. "You really are pretty," Jason muttered, but it was enough for her to hear. She ignored him and walked past him to leave, but he grabbed her hand. "What's your name?" He asked with a light smile, but Tanya's face was as cold as ever. She looked down at his hand, then at his face. His grip wasn’t rough like the others; it was firm and deliberate. "Let go," she said again, her voice calm but laced with warning. He didn’t move right away, just studied her face with quiet curiosity. "Do you always threaten everyone who talks to you?" "I make sure they're not empty threats," she replied. Her eyes flicked to his fingers still around her wrist and back to him. He chuckled softly and walked closer to her. "There's something about that gaze, though. And... those hazel eyes." Something cold slides through Tanya. Not fear, not annoyance. Before he can finish whatever smooth line he’s thinking up, she moves. In one fluid motion, she grabbed his arm, turned, and hauled him past her shoulder. It happens faster than he can react. His smirk slips, replaced by a startled grunt as his back hits the ground. She straightened her jacket, flipped her hair, and walked away without looking back at him. "Uh." He groaned.
