I couldn’t stay in my office any longer.
The room felt too small. The air felt heavy. And Henry’s words kept repeating in my head.
“Maybe it’s time you tell her the truth.”
I had finally said it out loud. I admitted what I had been hiding for week.
Freya is my mate.
And I had no idea what to do about it.
I opened the door, I needed to walk, I needed to think. I needed to do anything except sit there and remember that talk.
Henry had left a few minutes ago. He told me to get myself together before I ruined everything. And he was right.
But knowing the right thing and doing it, are very different.
I walked into the hallway and almost crashed into Selene.
“Whoa!” She grabbed my arms so she wouldn’t fall. “Sorry, I wasn’t looking.”
