"Allyna, have you heard the latest news?" Erica, her coworker for that day's shift, asked excitedly.
Their shift was almost over, and they were simply waiting for the two receptionists who would replace them before heading home.
"Huh? W-What news?" Allyna asked absentmindedly.
"I'm so excited! We're having a team-building event! Isn't that amazing?" Erica squealed, lightly hitting Allyna's arm in excitement.
"Team building?"
"Yes! Next week! The entire hotel will be closed so all of us can enjoy ourselves!" Erica said dramatically, rolling her eyes upward.
She's really such a girly girl, Allyna thought.
She scratched the back of her neck.
"Erica... is attendance mandatory for the team-building event?"
