Chapter Five

~ Opal ~

"You two did what?! Omg I can't believe you! Girl what about Collin?" I smile recalling the event that took places only a few hours ago. "It was great Lanna I know it's terrible to do to Collin but honestly I don't if we're going to recover and I dont know if I want us too. And as great as it was with Mark I dont think it's going to happen again I was in a bad place at that moment and emotions got the best of me." She shakes her head at me " Opal you need to atlest tell Collin about what happened with Mark. You also need to talk to mark then decide what to do because honestly do you have feelings for Mark still? And does he still have feelings for you?" I think about this for a moment obviously there's still something there if there wasn't I probably wouldnt have happened but she is right. I do need to talk to mark but collin?

"Why should I tell Collin? He lied to me!" She shrugs "talking to Collin is up to you but you and Mark need to figure out where you two stand with each other, and i would do it before the holidays you know your parents are going to question you about your love life." I sigh why did I have to make things harder I should've stopped what happened with Mark. Me and Lanna catch up for a while and then she heads home.

After cleaning up from today's events my body catches up with me making me tired. Who knew crying and s*x after would make the human body so exhausted. I reach for my phone and decided to message both of them. "We need to talk" I send the message and get an immediate response from them both. Mark said "okay I have a few things to say as well just give me a time and place." Before I answer I switch over to Collins message "I already know Opal but time and place I'll be there." He already knows? Knows what? I answer both of them back giving them diffrent time's, told them both to meet at my place. Mark at 6 and Collin at 3 giving me time between.

~ Collin ~

I straighten my shirt collar and knock, she opened the door a waft of her lotion hits me and I almost forget daybim here. I walk inside and shut the door. We sit on the couch and I wait for her to speak first. "Collin after you left yesterday something happened." I nod "I know an-" she cuts me off "no Collin let me say this, I need to be honest and tell you because even though you didnt tell me right away about your work until I confronted you. You still told me so I need to do the same" I put my hand over her mouth "Opal! I already know about the Fed." She removes my hand and glares at me "you were watching me!" I nod "yes well no not technically I had someone watch your home in case of anything happening to you because my job isnt the safest for others around me." She just stares at me.

"Great so now your a crazy stalker?" My anger starts to bubble and I push it down "no I was trying to protect you, My beautiful Gem stone. " she scoffs "yours?! I don't belong to anybody I'm not your property! And only my father can call me his Gem." My anger swells again. And our discussion turns into a yelling match when there's a knock on the door. I watch her walk away and I sit back down in glad we got inturrupted before something truly hurtful was said.

I try to listen to who maybe here but their conversation is hushed until I hear a voice, a male voice start getting louder. " What do you mean calm down? I swear if he's put his hands on you! Where is he? No Opal I won't quiet down! Where is he?" Then I hear footsteps coming, I only catch a glimpse of him bfore I feel a blow to my face. "Mark! What is your problem?"

~ Mark ~

I was in the neighborhood already son I decided to stop at Opal's, I still had an hour before our meeting but I have to see her. There's a nice BMW in the drive that's not her's and as I walk up to the door I hear yelling before I knocked. She opens the door and I see she's been crying, I wipe a stray tear from her stained red face. "What's wrong?" She doesn't move from the door or open it any wider "now's not a good time and I told you to be here at 6 it's only 5" she say's to me "well I was in the area already from seeing a friend so I'd thought I'd stop by early" she doesn't say anything.

" who's here Opal I heard the yelling you okay" she drops her head "it's just something I had to take care of before I seen you" I put two and two together the nice car, her face, the sadness in her eye's, the yelling it's him that fucker that hurt her yesterday "what happened Opal why is he here?" She hears the anger in my voice "Mark calm down please." I grab the door "What do you mean calm down? I swear if he's put his hands on you! Where is he?" She tries to move in front of me after I get inside. "Mark please"

"No Opal I won't quiet down! Where is he?" I stomp past her and head stright to the living room and I see him, my anger past my control I think of everything that has happened because of him the people and the way he's made her cry twice now. Stalking straight up to him I pull back and throw my fist right into his smug face without even thinking about it. "Mark! What is your problem?" Opal yells at me tending to his bleeding nose which just pisses me off more.

"Are you serious? After what he's done to you and all the people he's killed? And you still let him in and care for his wound that he fully deserves!" She gives him a rag and tilts his back before turning to me "you can't prove that he did that!" I scoff "we may not have physical evidence or any kind of paper trail but there's good chance that he is." Why is she defending him? " mark! Sit down!" I do as I'm told she places herself in between us probably to keep us a distance away from each other.

He starts to say something but she shuts him up "No neither one of you are talking I am you forget you guys are in my home! So shut up and listen." We both zip it and glare at each other. While she talks, I feel like a kid in time out. After she said her piece she let's us talk one at a time. He goes first "Opal I'm sorry for everything I'm not even mad about him, normally would be but your right I have no right to tell you what to do. And to continue our relationship would be completely up you, I did enjoy our date though your squeals of excitement are a major turn on." He holds her hands while saying this and smiles at me. Oh I'm going to punch him again cocky asshole.

"I appreciate you saying that Collin." I laugh "can I talk now?" She turns to me "I'm sorry Mark go ahead ." I turn toward her and place my hand on her thigh "Opal we had a rocky path and I should've been more supportive, but I wasn't and I'm sorry for that I wanted to try get my promotion more then take care of you and your needs and that was foolish of me. Because of that I lost the most amazing person, and after last night it's obvious I still love you. I just hope you feel the same." This upsets Collin and I know it does cause the look on his is the same look I would have. I ignore him and brush a stray hair out of her face watching her blush. "You don't have to decide now just know I'm here" I say to her and move my hand up her thigh a little more before giving her a hug and smile back at him.

He leans over while I'm still hugging opal and grab her hair pulling it just enough to expose her neck. I hear her gasp and he kisses her neck then bites down she moans a bit. I know he's trying to get a rouse out of me and insert his dominance, but it actually just turns me on instead. I pull away from her just enough to see her face flushed and her eye's closed. Okay fine he wants to play that game, fine with me I can play too and I can play it better.
