Chapter Seventeen

The next morning, I was very weak to walk and was still bleeding, Chris had to carry me to the car and drove me home.

I got alot of vegetables, every drinks and supplements. He cooked immediately we got home and fed me. I felt guilty for everything but he never mentioned anything about the abortion. He kept telling me to be strong for him. Chris carried me to the bathroom and helped me with bathing before he sang me to sleep. The next time I woke up it was already noon and he came to me immediately I woke up.

" How do you feel my love?"

" I'm sorry, I am really..."

" Gelly, it's okey as long as you're alive that's more than enough for me. I was scared to death when Ciara told me that you wanted to remove the baby".

" It's our first baby, I'm sorry for everything"

" My Mom told my sister that the risk of aborting a child is heavier than carrying the child and giving birth to it. I don't want to lose you, besides the pregnancy could have helped us get married".

We were still talking when my phone rang. It was Maria she told me there would be family meeting next week Sunday. I told Chris about it and then he decided to take the opportunity to meet my family once more. There was a knock on the the door. Chris opened the door only for Jane to walk in. I was shocked to see her. What a bad timing. I'm still weak won't be able to hide the abortion from Jane besides she would definitely tell Maria about it. Jane is the youngest girl among the three of us but she's the wisest so far.

" Hey sis, why do you look like you just saw a ghost"

" Why didn't you call me before coming. What if I wasn't home ?"

"I went to your shop and it was closed so I came here directly. Wait Angel, since when do I need to tell you before coming to your house?"

She went to the fridge and got a drink. She started playing video games with Chris before she came into the room.

" Chris told me everything, I was suspicious of the reason behind your pale look. How do you feel now?"

" Am feeling better. Can you not tell Maria about it"

" I already did"

As expected of her, but that was quite faster than I expected.

" You are my sis, I'm sure you would not have result to such risky measure. I will stop this rubbish Mom and Dad are doing to us. What if you had lost your life in the process of trying to abort the baby ? I will help you, trust me."

After we had dinner, Jane left . I was about to sleep when Maria called.

" Angel, how do you feel now ? Do you feel better?"

" Yes. I was scared that Chris would break up with me after the abortion".

" But you shouldn't have resulted to abortion, you know it quite dangerous. Has the bleeding stopped?"

" Not yet, but the pain has reduced"

"Bring Chris along when coming for the family meeting okey"

" Ok bye,"
