Chris said. I turned to see Chris and Ciara coming in.
"Oh, baby boo when did you guys come home?"
" When you picked the call, sorry for listening to your discussion with your sis. We are just worried that your family might pressure you again".
" No, I think Maria is mature enough to understand . But I really don't understand something, I'm just twenty years old , how come there's so much pressure ? Why do I need this marriage at this point?".
" It's because my Gelly' is the prettiest of them all. I'm glad you feel better after a long time".
" Thanks Boo, you are definitely the best in the whole world. Ciara you know I don't need to thank you so much. Isn't it your job to look after your baby girl?"
" Angel, can you be a little nice to me? Why did you swap roles between Chris and I?"
" Maybe because your time is almost up, prepare to give us privacy".
Ciara and I burst out laughing.
" I don't think so, look"
Chris showed us the information on his phone. What exactly is the meaning of this thing my parents are trying to pull. The old politician my Dad introduced to me the other day has taken to his i********: page to declare his marriage with me. Chris's fans were not taking it soft. They tagged alot of politicians who misled young girls for financial aids. This keeps getting worse as Team Chris ( Chris's fandom) started using hashtag. Although I was not happy with the whole thing for two specific reasons. Firstly, My marriage and personal life should be kept out of the internet and out of social media for good, I value my privacy. Secondly, Chris began to feel insecure at some point . The news was everywhere, you can also trust bloggers to add extra information to spice up the whole s********e of them said I slapped the man on spot while others said my parents pushed Chris out of our home.
This went on for at least two weeks. At some point, it started to working in our favour. Chris became more popular as bloggers compared him with Hon. Thomas Akadi ( the man I was asked to marry ) Chris gained so many girl fans since he was such a hot guy. I decided to use it to gain more popularity for him.
" Boo, Why not use this to our advantage?"
" What do you mean?"
" We're celebrities now, so I suggest I create an online class for fans who are interested in baking while you go live while doing exercise in the gym. You will have to maintain your image. And so let's keep mute about this whole relationship thing, I'm it will end in no time".
" Oh no probs, that's reminds me Thomas offered me Fifty Million Naira to break up with you".
" Isn't he not ashamed of himself".
Mike said as he walked in.
" I don't understand if he thinks that's Gelly is just worth alot of money or properties. To him as long as he has the money he can do anything and get away with it". Ciara was quite angry as she said it.
" Here, drink chilled water" Mike offers.
" Boo, it's okey, everything will be fine okey"
" I know Gelly, what do wanna eat tonight"
I rolled my eyes as if to find the answer to his question on the ceiling.
" I want something spicy".
" Let me place the order first okey"
When Chris went inside the room, I noticed something ongoing between Mike and Ciara.
" Emm hem, hello, what's up with you guys"
" Oh , Sorry Gelly, with the pressure and everything going on, I couldn't figure out a perfect time to tell you. Mike and I are officially dating now"
"Woah, for how long now, Ciara are you sure I'm still your best friend or am I missing something here?"
" Babe, they have been together since three days ago"
Wait Chris also knows about it. I'm the only who's not aware of their relationship.
" Why do I feel left out?"
Ciara hugged me.
" Am sorry Baby girl, I really don't how to tell you when you were dealing with those brats online"
" Chris, what about you? Why didn't you tell me too ?"
" Gelly, can you not blame please, I was so angry with the whole thing. I'm sorry your Majesty?"
" You are a dead meat boy"
I chased him all over the house.
