“Good thing I am a good boy.”
He stood up straight after a moment of silence blasted between us. The quietness was deafening and the intense atmosphere was slowly drifting away. I let out a breath when Myles took a step back. For a moment there, I thought that he was going to kiss me, but I was wrong. He just stared at me for god knows how long.
However, for a brief moment, I noticed something in his eyes. His emotions quickly shifted but they went back to their normal state.
“Eat up, darling. After that, let’s watch something together.”
He turned around and acted like nothing had happened even though it was visible in his eyes that something was bothering him. I tried shrugging off the thought that maybe he was just not in the mood or he was tired.
