Why is it always bad news!

Why?!?!? We just got through this ordeal! Why are we already into another threat! Hayden yelled. I just want to get married and have my baby and live my damn life with my husband and my family in peace!!!!

You will see..... Both of you! Amony looked at Hayden and Tia. You are both psychic! You will see that I'm not making this up! I SEE the future. That is my power! I know you can do this Hayden! I've seen it! You will draw on your child's power to beat this threat with no problem. Your child's power is unbelievable! You will be powerful after we train you but you will have to keep your child close when everything goes down! 

What is this threat?! Who is it!?! Why are they even coming for us? Hayden cried. 

Because... My brother is dead. He had followers. They listened to him. Without his control....... They are like wild animals with no leash. They must be destroyed. You are the one to destroy them! All of you will play your part! Hayden must be the one to destroy them though. I will get you through this! I owe you my life. Amony reassured them. 

Okay................. I'm ready. Let's get ready. I'm ready to train. Why is it always bad news! I just want peace. Hayden said looking sad. 

This is your way to get peace. After this battle it will be nothing but peace. Like I said, you are everyone's salvation. The world will be beautiful and vibrant after you destroy this threat Hayden. I promise. Amony said. And I'm going to help you. 

Devlin walked over to Hayden and took her by the hands when they were alone in the bedroom. Look at me Beautiful. I'm sorry this is happening. If I would have known....... Devlin looked away from her with sorrow on his face. Hayden grabbed his cheek an made him look her in the eyes. 

This is not your fault! I don't want to hear you take blame for something neither one of us had control over! I know what your going to say! You were gonna say you would have never even approached me! You would have never called out to me in the dream realm......Hayden said as a tear rolled down her cheek. I wouldn't have wanted that........ Not with what I know now! My life was miserable without you. I would have never came out of my depression. Even if Charlie an I would have traveled to every beautiful place on the planet. YOU. Brought me out of that. You gave me a life an something to fight for! If you take blame for this........ I'll never forgive you. I love you Devlin. None of this is your fault! He would have found me even without meeting you. Hayden looked Devlin in his eyes. 

I love you Beautiful. I think you know me better than I know myself anymore. I was thinking exactly that. None of this would be happening if we wouldn't have gotten together. Thank you Love. I think I was losing myself for a minute. I'm sorry it won't happen again. Now. What do you say we plan this wedding for this weekend? Devlin smiled an pulled her in for a hug. 

I say that it a great idea. I'll get the notebook. Hayden said. 

Xavier was pacing back an forth. Thinking about everything that has happened over the past few months. 

Will you stop that Babe! Your wearing me out! Please! Come sit down for a minute! Charlie demanded. She stood up and walked over to him when he stopped pacing and looked at her. 

Something is not adding up! I can't figure it out! It has to do with Amony! How is she free? Why is she helping us? She seems legit. I'm just having a hard time excepting this. It feels off! I'm telling you...... Something is off Char! Xavier exclaimed with his fist balled up. 

Calm down. We don't have to figure this out tonight! It's late. Take me to bed...... Please. Charlie said running her fingers through his blonde hair. Xavier closed his eyes and relished the feeling of his mates touch. He opened his eyes and looked at her. 

I'm sorry babe. I'm really worried about Hayden an Devlin. Even the baby. I feel like we can't trust Amony. I don't know why. It's just a gut feeling. We will figure it out. For now I'm taking you to our bedroom. It's been to long. Xavier smiled and picked Charlie up. She giggled as he carried her to their room. 

Amony sat on the bedroom floor in Attica's basement room. She sat as if she was praying to some unknown God. She knew there was no God. Not anymore. Her parents were dead. Which she was grateful for. Now her brother was dead and she was free. She needed to find her own way now. Maybe she could make a life here with these supernaturals. She would fit in here. They were all different but they all made the family way work. She thought to herself. I've never really had a real family. Please let these people except me and let me become part of their family. She prayed. She closed her eyes tightly. When she opened her eyes again they were glowing. She smiled and started to laugh. Maybe I can make my own way now. 

The next morning Attica cooked breakfast for everyone again. This time she cooked up Omelets, biscuits, sausage gravy and eggs. And of course coffee since the vampires could only drink coffee. Every now and then she would see Hayden eat. But Devlin never ate food. She guessed it was because Hayden had her whole life eating regular food so she still consumed it. Just as she was cleaning up from making breakfast she heard Amony enter the kitchen. 

Good morning Amony! Did you sleep okay? Attica asked and proceeded to turn around. Soon as she looked at Amony she noticed something was different. She c****d her head to the side an looked her up and down. Why do you look different today? 

Amony smiled at Attica. Because Hybrid. I have become my powerful self. I received my full powers last night while I was praying. With my parents both dead and now my brother....... None of them hold the key. They have returned to me. Amony smiled. I was thinking.......... I have to make my own way now. I have no one. Do you think maybe, I could become part of your family? 

I don't see why not! You are helping us. Attica responded. We could even build you your own house. She smiled at Amony. We would love to make our family bigger. Why don't you grab a plate and eat some breakfast before it gets cold. Everyone else should be here soon. Hayden an Devlin hasn't come down yet. I know they are awake though. I hear them moving around up there. 

Thank you Attica. I would love some breakfast. I appreciate everything you are doing for me. I can feel your love and honesty. You are a very good woman. I can tell. Amony responded an went to the counter to make a plate. 

Xavier an Charlie walked in the front door an went to the kitchen. Attica.... I need to speak to you. Xavier said walking up to her. Attica looked over to Charlie for the answers. Charlie shrugged her shoulders. 

Amony stood up and looked at them. He doesn't trust me yet. I can feel it. That's what he wants to speak to you about. Xavier looked at Amony the same way Attica did. Why do you look different today. You seem taller and more.......... Powerful. Xavier stated. 

I have gotten my full powers back. I want you to know you can trust me. I would not be here if you could not. If I had some vendetta against you all..... I would not be here. Amony said softly. 

How can you get me to trust you? Because right now my gut is telling me that you will betray us. I don't know how yet. But I can sense it. Xavier said. 

You have to be feeling someone else's betrayal because I am loyal and honest to those who have freed me. You all are a part of that. I would lay my life down for you all. I will find out who is going against you. I will bring them to you. Amony said with her head lowered. 

Thank you Amony. That won't be nessasary. If one of our pack is willing to betray us then he or she will come to light soon enough. Wait...... You can feel my distrust when I walked in? Xavier asked. 

Yes. I could. Amony responded. 

Okay..... Then you tell me who is willing to betray us.....  Then let me know. Don't act on it. Just let me know names. Xavier said seriously. 

As you wish. Among responded. 

Hayden and Devlin came walking into the kitchen talking softly. Hayden looked up at all of them standing around the table. What's going on? Hayden asked. 

It seems we have someone on this property that is going to betray us. Xavier stated. I came here this morning with a bad feeling about Amony. She has reassured me that It is not her we need to be worrying about. She wants to join our family. Also she can sense anything a person is feeling now. She just received all her powers back lastnight. Xavier smiled at them. 

Amony looked at Hayden and Devlin. You guys are feeling doubt. I can assure you that I will find out who is playing the cards against you and I will bring them to Xavier.

Devlin and Hayden looked at each other and smiled. That is the most amazing thing I've ever seen. I've seen alot! How do you do that? Devlin asked. 

I'm not sure? It just comes to me. I do not know how it works. I can also feel someone's pain and any emotion they are feeling. I will find the mole. They have to be working for my brothers followers. They call themselves. The Devils Flag. They have already began to regroup and band together. They will be coming by Winters first snow fall. We must prepare and catch the mole before they can gather important information and feed it back to them. Among said softly. 

First! Let's eat before all this food I made gets cold! Attica exclaimed. Where is my mate? Damon!!!!!!! Attica yelled. She immediately heard footsteps on the stairs an smiled. Breakfast is ready! Come get it! She yelled. 

After breakfast Xavier called a meeting. Everyone in the pack was made to show up. Amony was going to read each of their emotions carefully. 

They all gathered in Attica's backyard. Xavier, Charlie, Hayden, Devlin and Amony stood at the front of the group. Xavier looked around to make sure everyone was there. Anyone know where Jordan is! Xavier yelled. Kensley spoke up with Hunter by her side. 

He went home to get his boys! He is going to bring them back to the packhouse! He said he felt his wife slipping away! He said he had to do this quickly. Kensley yelled over everyone. 

Thanks Kensley! Xavier yelled back to her. 

No problem Boss! She responded. 

Xavier turned to Amony. Jordan's mate is dying. His twins will be coming to live with us. When his wife dies........ I told him I would put him down as humanly as possible. When a wolf loses his mate.... He turns crazed. We call them Rogue. He doesn't want to turn Rogue. He wouldn't be the one to betray us anyway. Xavier explained. 

No. And I'm not sensing anyone here will betray you. I think it will be the twins. Or one of them. All I feel here is loyalty and respect because their Alpha called them here. I feel some sadness as well. Amony said looking around. 

Where are you feeling sadness? Xavier asked looking through everyone. Amony pointed to Paisley. 

Xavier walked over to Paisley. He looked at her mate Bran and nodded at him. What's wrong? Xavier asked her. Paisley looked shocked. 

What do you mean Alpha? I'm fine. Paisley said. 

Amony can feel your sadness. Now, Tell me what is going on? Xavier demanded. 

Paisley looked at Bran. Tears started to roll down her face. I'm sorry I was going to tell you tonight. Im...... Im..... I'm pregnant. Paisley cried harder as she spoke. Bran walked up to her and held her. 

Why would you be sad about this! I'm happy! Bran said. I love you no matter what! You are my mate. We would have started a family sooner or later. I was hoping anyway. Bran reassured her. He wiped her tears off her face an smiled. 

I thought you didn't want kids. You told Damon that the other day. Paisley asked looking confused. 

No, I told him I never wanted kids at a young age. You didn't hear the whole conversation. We are 22 years old. Now it the perfect time to have babies. Bran kissed her. We can keep up with them when they start walking then running.... Then playing sports or cheerleading. 

I was so scared to tell you. I cried all night thinking about a way to tell you. Now I know I was stupid for thinking I couldn't tell you. Paisley responded. Thank you Alpha. 

No problem. Congrats guys. I'm sure Charlie will start planning the baby shower. Xavier laughed as he walked away. 

Charlie looked at him and smiled. She is pregnant!?! Now there will be two babies on the property. I'll have to plan two baby showers now! Charlie exclaimed. Xavier shook his head and smiled. 

Amony walked around as Xavier spoke to the pack. She didn't sense any betrayal. Just respect and loyalty and admiration and love. There was a lot of love around these people. She loved it here. She never wanted to leave. She walked up to Xavier and shook her head just as he was finishing the speech. About that time Jordan pulled in and got out of his car followed by two young men. Xavier looked at Amony. 

They just seen nervous right now. They aren't thinking of betrayal as of now. They may not have gotten in touch with any of the Devils Flag yet. Amony said softly as Jordan walked up with his boys. 

Xavier...... I would like you to meet my boys. This is Michael, and this is David. He introduced them. They looked exactly alike except for the hair. Michael had blonde hair and David had light brown hair. Michael extended his hand to Xavier. Xavier took his hand. 

Hello Alpha it is so nice to finally meet you. I'm Michael. I look forward to serving you in the pack. Michael said. 

It's nice to meet you too Michael.... Welcome to the pack..

Xavier let go of Michael's hand and extended it to David. Hello David. It's also nice to meet you. Xavier said. 

Hello Alpha. I've heard a lot about you and your property. I'm glad my father had found us a place to live. I appreciate you taking us on on short notice. David replied. 

It's really no problem at all. We have plenty of room. We have the pack house and as of now it's about empty since everyone here has found their mates. We are in the process of adding some houses to the property that the rest of the mated can reside in. When you two find your mates. We will build a house for you as well. The Pack house is meant for the single wolves. Until we get everyone's house built some of the mated will be staying in the pack house. Xavier explained. We are about done though. So you and your brother will have the house to yourselves until you become mated. 

Sounds good. We are grateful for your hospitality. Michael chimed in. I really don't want to lose my dad but I know what happens when mom dies. I wish there was a way around that. I really do. It's bad enough to lose one parent. But both is going to be devastating. 

I'm sorry this is happening. I wish it was under better circumstances. We will all help you two through it as much as we can. We will all be here for you two. Xavier said sadly. Why don't you guys go around and introduce yourselves to everyone. I need to speak to your father. Xavier told them. They both nodded and walked towards the pack. 

Has things changed? Jordan asked nervously. They can still stay right? 

Yeah. Oh yeah. That's not a problem. Xavier quickly responded. The Angel that came to us yesterday night. She informed me that someone on this property is going to betray us. She isn't sensing it from anyone here. Does your boys socialize with anyone from the Devils Flag? Xavier asked. 

The What? Jordan replied with a confused look. No. They only socialize with friends from college. They are on summer break right now. But no one has really been by the house except for Cooper. That's one of their friends from the campus. He is studying Criminal Justice. I'm not sure what The Devils Flag is but it doesn't sound good. I don't think he would be involved. 

The Devils Flag is what is coming after us because we killed their leader. Well the devils Flag is followers of the Dark Lord. Amony said they were unleashed animals without the rule of the Dark Lord. I don't know what we are in for but I do know it's not going to be good. Xavier said. Can you make sure your boys know nothing of the Devils Flag. Maybe question them about it before you go back to your wife? 

My wife is gone. She died this morning. Julia is dead. Jordan said sadly. I can feel myself going. I feel like it's hard to focus right now. I don't know how much longer I can hold onto my sanity. I don't want to leave my boys. I wish there was a way around this. 

Why didn't you tell me? Xavier said. 

I just did. I wanted to be sure my boys got here before I lost myself. I knew if I told you..... You would keep to your promise and take me out before I went to get them. Jordan replied with tears gleaming in his eyes. I'm not lost yet. Will you wait until I lose myself to do it?

Sure. Just whenever you feel like checking out.....  Come to me. I'll speak to Attica and let her know to start the potion. We spoke about it just this morning. She said she could come up with a potion to make you fall asleep and not wake up. It's the most peaceful way we could think of. Xavier replied softly. 

Thank you. I will talk to my boys now. I'll make sure they will not betray you. It's the right thing to do. After everything you have done. That would not be the way to repay you. Jordan said looking into the group. He spotted his boys and told Xavier he would be back. 

Xavier looked at Jordan walking up to his twins and took a deep breath. 

Something has shifted in the atomsphere. We will not be betrayed by one of our own. Amony said walking up behind Xavier with Charlie by her side. We will not be betrayed at all. We will win this fight!
