It's Been Forever!

I don't think her house is this far out....I remember it being close to a dead end road. Hayden said with confusion written all over her face. Devlin was driving them down the country road in his nice blacked out Lexus SUV. This vehicle really didn't fit in around here. No....He is going the right way...we just stay on Ashby Rd until it turns into Daisy then we make a left..she does live on a dead end road....your right about that..it was winter 2 years ago when we last visited...so maybe that's why it's looking different to you babe. Charlie said while poking her head up front between the seats. We are almost there. Devlin reached for Hayden's hand. They were really growing a lot closer. Devlin....right up here..make a left...where that Apple tree is...and while your at it...you two go find a room! You two make me sick. It's not fair...where is my dream man? Charlie asked while laughing. Maybe he lives around here. Hayden replied jokingly...Love you Charr! You still have me...and now you have me and Devlin! It's not the same! Charlie stated while whining sarcastically. Yayyyyyyyyyy...guys we are here!!! Aunt Lily isn't here yet..it's only 3:15...let go park out back so we can surprise her. Charlie yelled. I don't know Charlie...you know how Auntie is...she may shoot us! Yeah I think we should stay in sight. I know this women as well and I don't think she is one to ask questions first. I know that this is the same Lily I've known for years. Devlin stated seriously. I don't know how we have never crossed paths before Devlin...We come out to visit every few years. Charlie said and Hayden nodded to agree. Maybe because I only see Lily when she needs a big problem handled...rogue werewolves or demons...pesky fairies. She calls me as a last resort and she always makes sure no one is in her home when we meet....I've never came out and told her I was a vampire...but...I think she knows...she is too smart not to know. Devlin said with a short laugh. How did you guys meet. Hayden asked. Well beautiful...how about I let Miss Lily tell you that....because I'm sure she is going to ask us the same thing.....and I have a feeling ....she isn't going to be to happy about it. If she is...it's really going to surprise me. Devlin said. I think she will be fine with it...She is very serious when she has to be....but.....most of the time she is really fun to be around. Hayden said. They all agreed and pulled in the driveway. Devlin leaned in and gave Hayden a kiss. He put his hand on her cheek and pulled away....I love you Hayden...I will not let anything happen to you.....or you Charlie..I know how much you mean to Hayden...as for Lily....same goes for her...but she seems like a lady that can handle anything. Devlin stated. About that time Lily pulled up next to them looking at the Lexus with animosity is her eyes, she couldn't see into the windows because they were tinted black. Hayden looked at Devlin...I love you too...Charlie are you ready? They both opened their doors and stepped out. The look on Lily's face turned from ready to kill...too extremely happy and she let out the loudest squeal! MYYYYY BABIES!!!!!! Oh my goodness!!!! It's BEEN FOREVER, she screamed while running up and taking them both into a death grip hug!!! I have missed you two soooooooooo much. I got worried when Charlie didn't answer her phone this morning!!! Charlie...what do you have to say for yourself? Aunt Lily just kept rambling. Well....Aunt Lily we really wanted to surprise you! If I would have answered...you never know...I could have slipped up. Charlie said smiling a her Aunt. Were you surprised? Hayden asked. Ohhhhh yeahhhh...you guys gave me the happiest surprise I could have asked for! I was uncertain who was in that SUV when I pulled up because one of my good friends has one just like that. Aunt Lily stated while looking at the Lexus. Well....about that. Hayden said nervously. Devlin is in the SUV.....and......he is my.....my...boyfriend. Hayden barely got it out. Ohhhhhh.....I'm am so happy for you darling....Devlin is a great man... You will definitely be happy around that one...Aunt Lily said while hugging Hayden. Your not mad? Charlie asked. Why....no baby...I've known Devlin for years...I couldn't be happier for you two Hayden..Now...tell him to get his ass out of the car! Lily said laughing. Hayden leaned in an said....she is okay with us?...She wants you to get out and come see her....Hayden stated. I heard her, I was about to step out when you opened the door.....I'm coming beautiful. Devlin said while getting out of the SUV. Hello Lily! It's been too long..Devlin said, giving Lily a hug. Yes...it has...there isn't as much trouble around these parts anymore...thanks to you handsome! We still have the wolves running around but they stay to their packs...haven't had any rogues around...so it's been pretty peaceful. Aunt Lily said. Why don't you guys come in and have some tea. We can all catch up. That sounds great Aunt Lily. Hayden said, taking Devlin's hand in hers. Charlie just smiled and shook her head. Aunt Lily looked to Charlie and said.....young love....how I miss those days!   You are only 36 Auntie!!! Charlie yelled. I know but I'm not looking anymore...if love finds me...great...if not I'm happy the way I am. Charlie just gave Aunt Lily another hug. I love you Auntie..I'll always be here for you. Charlie said sadly. Ohhhhh....come on...we will have none of that sappy s**t Charlie...you know I'm always about having a good time! But I love you for that statement baby girl! Charlie smiled and they all walked into the cabin. The cabin was beautiful. It's a huge two story log cabin with a green tin roof. The inside was amazing...it has the log cabin look on the inside with everything made from trees, the kitchen table , the walls..down to the bar in the kitchen. It was a dream home. Aunt Lily and her ex husband built it by theirselves. She was very proud of her home. Let's sit at the bar and catch up. Aunt Lily said. Sure! I'll take a strawberry vodka and rebull! Charlie exclaimed. I would like a original margarita with salt.Hayden said. And...I will take a glass of wine....any kind you have is fine with me Devlin said. Coming right up! Would anyone like something to eat as well? Lily asked. No we just ate right before we came Hayden stated. She turned and mouthed to Devlin so No one would hear " are you hungry? " Devlin mouthed back "later my love"  and smiled with a wink. Hayden's cheeks turned pink. She knew she would be in for it later. Aunt Lily got busy making everyone's drinks, she made herself a strawberry vodka and red bull as well. That was her and Charlie's favorite drink. Aunt Lily was always ok with Charllie and Hayden drinking before age 21 as long as it was in front of her and not out partying. Hayden is almost 21 & Charlie is almost 20, so close enough. I'm so happy you all came to visit! It gets lonely out here by myself, that's why I always keep myself busy! Lily explained. Xavier has been helping a lot with the garden, that man has a green thumb. My plants are blooming! Lily said happily. Who is Xavier Auntie? Charlie asked. Well he just lives right over the hill...He is the Alpha in the Blue Summer Moon Pack! I bet you guys are starting to believe me now...am I right? ...Because I know Devlin over there has explained a few things to you.. I could tell by the looks on your faces as soon as I said Alpha! CHEERS! Everyone yelled and clinked their glasses together. They all took a drink. So...Aunt Lily....how did you and Devlin meet? Hayden asked. Well hun...He saved my life...He just happened to be in the right place at the right time. . I was on the trail of a rogue werewolf...I was pretty close too... I had tracked him to the cave where he was sleeping. ...as I was about to walk in....I heard a growl...the wolf was not happy with me in his territory......I turned around and he was right there...this big black werewolf with big red eyes..... He was foaming at the mouth with his teeth covered in blood..I pulled my shotgun up to take aim...soon as I did he jumped at me..I automatically shot because I wasn't gonna let that bastard eat me!!!!! Not without a fight!!! Soon as I knew the silver bullet hit him...I took off to get a better vantage point.....I didn't know where the bullet hit him.... I just know it did because there was a sickly yelp....I just kept running... I was trying to find a boulder or something to position myself behind....I came to a road and Mister handsome here was driving down the road....He jumped out of his SUV and about that time the rogue werewolf came running out of the woods and jumped on my back..He knocked me to the ground....He had me pinned....his ...hot breath...and saliva mixed with blood was dripping on my neck...I thought...this is it....I'm dead...there is no coming back from this...That's when Devlin ran over before the rogue werewolf could take my head off...and in one swift movement...took the werewolves head right off his shoulders. He then helped me up.....asked me if I was okay....and helped me to his vehicle...He kept asking me over an over if I had been bitten...I finally came out of the shock I had been experiencing...to look at this tall, tanned, dark hair, blue eyed  man that just saved my life....I  finally answered him while he was checking frantically all over my body to see if I had been bitten....I told him that I haven't been bitten... He even took me to my car... Asked me If I was sure I was okay....I knew then that we were gonna be good friends. We exchanged phone numbers and he told me that if I ever ran into a problem like that again to give him a call... That's where our friendship and arrangement began. ..Every time I would get word of any rogues or any other problems he would come an take care of them for me. . Yeah I would like to think of him as my Savior...but I've always know hun....that you are a vampire... It doesn't change the way I think about you....just like there are good vampires ....there are bad ones too...like there are bad rogue werewolves...there are good ones as well...! Aunt Lily said taking a drink of her vodka. Yeah when I seen you in the road that day...I could see that you were in trouble...when I stepped out of the SUV I could smell the wolf. I knew I had to save you. Devlin said sincerely. I owe you my life...I wouldn't be here today...if it wasn't for you. Lily said with tears in her eyes. See....now I'm getting sappy! Let's turn some music on ladies!!!!Let's show Devlin here how we catch up!!Lily yelled.. Charlie stood up to walk over to the stereo, drink in hand...she turned on Block Party Mix and turned it up to Max Volume. The" thong song "blared through the speakers. Hayden took Devlins hand an lead him over to the dance floor...Aunt Lily followed behind...They all started dancing and having a good time, 20  minutes later Devlin walked over and turned the music down....Someone is knocking on the door Lily! Devlin said. He started walking to the door with Lily, worried someone was there to harm her...He could smell that it was a wolf on the other side of it. Lily looked out the peephole and said....oh it's just Xavier...is it already 4:00? Lily asked as she opened the door. Hello Sweety! I was having so much fun I forgot you were coming! I would love for you to meet my nieces Charlie and Hayden...also my good friend Devlin..which is also Hayden's boyfriend! Devlin and Xavier were already staring each other down. Xavier growled.....Vampire!...Devlin showed his fangs and said furiously.....Werewolf! Lily stepped in between them and yelled....HEY! There will be none of that in MY house!!! You are both good men there is ...NO REASON ...that you can't get along!!!! Now ...do we have an agreement ? Are you both going to be civil? Lily asked looking from one man to the other. I can be civil if he can.Devlin said.. Yeah as long as he is civil and keeps his fangs put away ...I can be civil as well! Xavier said while scanning the room. Charlie laughed and turned and quietly whispered to Hayden..leave it to Aunt Lily to get a vampire and werewolf in check. Hayden just giggled and looked at her man. He moved over to stand beside her protectively ....I want you to stay beside me until I know he is safe. Devlin whispered .Hayden nodded and hugged him around the waist. . Come on IN, Charlie said to Xavier, He stepped in when he heard her beautiful voice. There is something about that voice that sounds familiar. He thought as he stepped around the door to where she was standing across the room.  They instantly made eye contact and he knew.....she is my mate. Charlie smiled warmly at hIm.. Hi...it's so nice to meet you..we have heard nice things about you, I appreciate you helping Aunt Lily around the house..she said as she reached for his hand to give him a hand shake. He grabbed her hand and pulled her towards his chest and gave her a big hug. Charlie let out a little squeak at the sudden close contact. Oh wow, you are so warm...So you always hug people you first meet? Charlie asked curiously. No....I don't know what came over me. Xavier said. You make my skin tingle....That's weird Charlie said. Do you feel that Xavier? Yes...I do. It's nice to meet you Charlie. Your very beautiful. He said while bringing her hand up to his lips and giving her hand a soft kiss. Wow, Mister Prince Charming, where have you been all my life? Charlie asked looking very pleased. I've been here in Sistersville Lake all my life. ..I was born here. Xavier said. He didn't want to mention the word "mate" to her yet...He didn't want to scare her away. Although he knew this girl was as tough as her Aunt and wouldn't take any s**t from anyone. Would you like a drink Xavier? Aunt Lily asked from behind the bar. Sure...might as well since it looks like a party! I will take a vodka red bull if you have it. Xavier said while watching Charlie and Hayden dance. You know Xavier...I know what it means when a werewolf touches his mate for the first time and it's like a electrical current under the skin...just whatever you do...please...please...treat MY niece well. ..I know you can't choose your mate...and I know you have no control over this...it's one reason why.... I'm not losing my mind right now. Lily said seriously to Xavier. Miss Lily PLEASE don't say anything to her yet..I don't want to scare her off...I was hoping you didn't catch that. She is beautiful Miss Lily, I love her long tan legs an her platinum blonde hair. Her blue eyes are the color of the sky.Xavier stated with a dreamy look on his face. Wow son you have it bad...you met her for a minute and you are in love already..I know...I know..you don't choose your mate..I know how it is..Aunt Lily said sarcastically handing him his drink.  I also know that you are her type...and...I think she likes you..she keeps looking over here. Lily said with a smile. Really? What is her type? Xavier asked excited for the answer. Well ...she likes men with light hair and tanned skin, tall, muscles, and confident, treats people with respect, an its a plus if they have a big.....you know....penis. Lily said smiling from ear to ear. I don't think you have anything too worry about Xavier, I really think she likes you. I think you can make her your mate. Lily stated matter of factly. Ok.....if you  say so Miss Lily...you basically described me...so...I'm gonna go talk to her! Xavier said standing up from the bar stool to go talk to his mate. 

Xavier noticed Hayden and the vampire making out in the corner of the room. Xavier brought Charlie another drink at Lily's urging..she was slow dancing by herself. Here Charlie, I brought you another drink...strawberry vodka and red bull right? Oh...Thanks handsome....that was sweet of you! Charlie exclaimed standing on her tiptoes to give him a kiss on the cheek, he turned his head and their lips met .......instead of her pulling away she gave in to the kiss...she wrapped her arms around his neck  before they knew it he pulled her close to his chest and they were making out...When she pulled away slowly she was breathless  .... Oh MY God .... Sparks ... What was that? .... I've never felt anything like that in my life ....that ... was .... amazing .... I think we have a connection.... or...something? I don't know ... but..Damn!!!!!!! ...I have never wanted to....  f**k someone so bad after a first kiss. Charlie said looking into Xavier's silver eyes. Its more than a connection baby girl...I think it's something we need to discuss when you are sober...... I am sober...why is there always people telling me that I am drunk...I'm sober...I only had one drink ...this is my second one and I haven't even started drinking it yet..Charlie said interrupting him. She is the one that told me to come talk to you..he said while turning to look at Lily...she gave a thumbs up with a huge smile on her face. Charlie noticed and laughed. My Aunt is one of a kind but I love her.. So what is it Xavier. I trust you if she does...I would say what I needed to say..that's just how I am...Charlie stated. Charlie said while wrapping her arms around his neck and leaning in for the electrical connection that had her curling her toes
