-Caleb- The small seaplane touched down on a small lake then taxied to a dock hidden by overhanging trees. Jacey leaned against me, pretending to sleep. I knew she was pretending because of the way she was breathing, but honestly, it was for the best. I didn’t trust Jacob or Girard as far as I could throw them. “All right, everybody off,” Girard said. Jacob waved his gun at us. “Time to be awake, love,” I whispered to Jacey. Jacey popped her head up and started when she saw the gun. “My other one’s even bigger,” Jacob grinned, grabbing his crotch. I put myself between Jacey and Jacob as we got up, and the pilot opened the door. In short order, Girard, Jacey, and I were on the dock.
