Heath POV
As I walked away from the house, I couldn't shake off the feeling of unease. Lizzy's words kept echoing in my mind, and I couldn't believe her audacity. Who the f**k did she think she was, confessing her damn love for me like that?
I quickened my pace, trying to put as much distance between myself and Lizzy as possible. I walked as far away from the door as possible. But I could feel her eyes on me, boring into my back. I knew she wasn't the type to give easily on whatever she set her mind on.
I soon reached my car and got inside, locking the doors behind me. I rested my head on the steering wheel for a few minutes trying to calm my mind from the numerous thoughts before I sat up right again.
