Heath’s Pov
I stared at my house, the sun was shining down on it. I had spent the night at Four Seasons trying to put distance between myself and Lizzy’s drama so I could celebrate my business success without any interruptions.
I suddenly felt a sense of unease as the compound was so f*****g quiet like no one has been there for a long time. Something was off, I knew it.
I pushed open the front door and stepped inside, calling out to Lizzy to see if she was still around but there was no response. The house was quiet the sound I heard was that of my f*****g footsteps echoing off the walls.
I walked into the living room and the kitchen but there was no sign of her. Maybe she's in the bedroom, hearing my call but snubbing me but as I got to my bedroom she wasn't there as well.
