It was another day for Czarina. If it wasn’t for the constant knocking on her door, she would probably still be sleeping in her bed. Czarina didn’t even know how long she had been sleeping. All she knew was the sun had already started to reveal itself from the east when the darkness finally swallowed her.
“Czarina, Dear? Are you awake?” the soft raspy voice of Lola Rosing echoed on the other side of her closed door.
Czarina tried to open her eyes, but she closed them again. It still stung from all the crying she did last night. And right now, she couldn’t even open them because of their heaviness. The pain in her heart still hasn’t subsided. She can still hear them continuously breaking into pieces.
Czarina heaved a sigh, still not moving on her bed.
How can life be so cruel to her?
