CHAPTER ELEVEN

INVITING THE DEVIL LUCIEN'S POV After she left, I felt a gust of energy leave my body. I invited Vaughn Derek's daughter, Fayne to distract myself. I was falling back into the habit I got into after I had left Romano to start my own empire. Her face, her eyes, everything about her just keeps burning through me. I thought I had escaped her clutches. I scoffed at myself and lost interest in Fayne. She however still wanted to keep going. I felt a mild disgust at how desperate she was for my attention. She is a possessive b***h, so I have to be very careful not to let her turn her murderous gaze on Sophia. She is under my protection, it will really be a huge thorn in my ass if she dies, in my own house no less. Fayne wouldn't care about turning Romano's ire on him or herself for that matter. “Fayne darling,” I drawled, giving her the impression that I am still in the mood. She purrs and stretches her body languidly on top of mine. She is still straddling me which brings her crotch over mine. Sadly I had sated the beast and it is not interested in rising up for her. I f****d Fayne with a ferociousness that I haven't shown in a long time. She must think it's because I miss her, she doesn't know that I have been using her all this while. I don't see her face when I f**k her. I see those innocent brown eyes, those full pink lips. I see how her lashes fan up and down whenever she is embarrassed or very angry. I saw her today, watching me rail into Fayne. I knew she was there immediately when she arrived, her scent is not one I am keen to forget. She stood there for quite a while before I tried to look up hoping to catch her eyes, to see the look on her face, but I guess she is too mortified, too innocent to have done such a really dirty thing. A dark chuckle escapes me. “You seem happy Lucien, was it that good?” Fayne practically purrs her question in my ears as she keeps moving her hands all over my body. I should end this farce. “Fayne, I need to go. There's business I need to tend to,” I say, giving her a good excuse to escape her tooth rotting sweetness. “I want you to stay a bit longer with me, Lucien,” she whines at me, allowing her hands to drop. Why did I invite her? I knew why, because she was an easy option. A less dangerous option who is and has always been willing to give me her body. More than her body as she always keeps hinting at it. “Have you forgotten the rules so soon, Fayne?” I asked in an amused voice, watching her struggle with her anger and finally standing up from my legs. I flex them a little but to allow blood to flow down into them. It is actually laughable that Fayne is trying to control her anger in my presence. Every mafia lord in Calcutta knows that Fayne doesn't control anything. She takes and does whatever it is she wants to do. Besides I am among the very few she can actually hurt or try to control. “Go meet George, settle down. I will see you later,” I stand up and leave, slapping her ass very hard as I walk out of the kitchen. This made her really happy from the sound that she made. Was it wise to bring Fayne to spend days in his house? No, it wasn't, but I needed a distraction and the s*x was good too. I walk back to my office, the one place and my bedroom where I am sure I have absolute privacy. George was standing guard at the door, obviously waiting for me. I saw the dark look he threw my way when he saw Fayne. “Really Lucien, you bring her back after all these years?” George asks barely letting me get inside the office. It was a question asked quietly but I could hear the anger in his words. George is a damn bleeding heart. A ruthless bleeding heart if I might add. “You said it yourself, George. It was all those years ago when I was still trying to find my feet and master myself,” I replied breezily going to the shelf where I kept my drinks, I pulled out the bottle of whisky I had when Sophia arrived and took out two shot cups. I'll have to stock up on this bottle quite soon, so I can always be in the state of mind where I can navigate this bloody mess. “You can't go back to a mistake you once made Luc, Miss Vaughn was an absolute mistake that you barely got rid of.” I looked at George this time and saw the pain in his eyes. George has been with me from the very start. The one I can fully trust to watch my back. It is a luxury to have such a person in this world. “It's been a while you used that name Georgie,” I answered with a nonchalant air. I understood what George was saying but he should understand too why I had to bring Fayne. George fists his hand quite tightly and stares at me like I was going mad. Frankly I think I may as well be going mad. “I hope you know what you are doing Lucien, I won't judge you normally advice you, but this better not bring Thorne enterprises down.” He walks out of my office after managing to drop his last message in such a quiet voice that I had to strain to hear him. I sighed and return one of the whisky glass shots back to the shelf. I pour myself a generous amount and gulp it in one go. I growl loudly as I feel the hotness spread fast and hot with such intensity inside my body. I should have told Romano that I can't handle his daughter, but that would be like a betrayal to him after everything he had done for me. I sigh and loosen my neck tie. Not only do I have a terrible situation with Sophia, I now had to invite the devil herself into my own home. Why do I keep making things harder than it should be for myself?
