Chapter Four: What's Next?

4641 Words
When Nina woke a few hours later, she felt Draven standing at attention against her leg. Looking up into his face, he was looking down at her. His hand went from her thigh to her ass, grabbing her and pulling her towards him. Without a word, Nina reached between them to his hard c**k, twisted her hips, and guided him inside of her wet cunt. Draven closed his eyes and pressed his head back against the pillow they shared and moaned, “Fuck.” Nina wrapped her leg around him, bringing him closer and moved against him. With her free hand, she put it on his buttock and urged him closer. He wrapped an arm around her waist and bracing himself, moved against her. Nina gasped at the strength behind it. He did it again, just to hear her gasp in ecstasy. A few moments later, Nina came wrapping her leg tightly around him and biting his neck as gently as she could without drawing blood. Draven tried to withdraw from her as his orgasm neared, but she held onto him tightly and he came inside of her. “f**k, Nina,” he moaned. She pumped her hips against him, clinching against him, milking every last drop of his seed from him. When their breathing returned to normal, he opened his eyes to look into hers. “Why’d you do that?” he asked. Nina still held him inside of her body, “I wanted to feel you inside of me without anything between us.” He moaned and kissed her hard on the lips, invading her mouth with his tongue. He broke off the kiss and pressed his forehead to hers, “I’ve never done that without one. That felt amazing,” and kissed her again. When he pulled away, she looked at him, “Me neither.” He put the hand he had cupping her ass to the back of her neck and pulled him to her for another kiss. Just as she felt him growing harder inside of her, her cellphone rang. Draven moaned and reached over to the nightstand and handed it to her. Kissing her nose, he watched as she answered it while looking at him. “Hey, Omega,” she said, talking to Hunter, as that was his nickname. Draven watched as she had a conversation with him and made no effort to move away from him. He in turn slowly moved both of his hands to cup her buttocks and hold her against him gently. “I see. So the four of them have been arrested by Military Police.” His eyes searched hers. “Okay. And what about the charges?” Her free hand gently rested on his chest as one of her fingers traced gentle circles around his n****e. “And do we know yet if it is going to trial, or if they are going to take a plea?” He pushed a strand of hair behind her ear. “Okay.” Draven gently massaging her buttock. “And what time do you need me at the funeral home?” Nina gently kissed his chin. “Okay. I’ll see you later this afternoon. Alright. Bye.” When she hung up, he took her phone and placed it back on the beside. “What’s the verdict?” he asked kissing her breast and soothing back her hair and resting his hand on her lower back. “They have been arrested on an Article one-eighteen. They don’t know if they are going to trial or are going to take a plea. And I have to be at the funeral home this afternoon at one.” “Do you want me to come with you?” he asked, as he slowly slid into her silky heat. Before she answered, she looked into his eyes. She wasn’t sure what she saw but she liked it. “Draven.” He moaned when he brought her closer to him, her breast touching his chest, “Nina.” She lost her breath when he did that. He asked again as his hips began to move against her again, “Do you want me to come with you?” She moved against him, closing her eyes, “Oh god, yes.” He held her tightly as he held her in place and moved against her, “Do you?” She held onto his strength, “Yes, please.” He held her with an arm around her hips, and one around her shoulders and moved hard against her body. With every thrust, Nina cried out with pleasure. A few moments later, Nina clinched her legs around him tightly and came, crying his name out softly. He pumped a few more times against her and came inside of her. Both held onto each other, afraid to let go. Later, on their way to the funeral home, Draven drove them in the rental. They had showered and dressed in the clothing from the day before. As he drove them carefully, Draven had his hand on Nina’s thigh. She had both of her hands on his, holding him to her. “Nina? Can I ask you something?” he asked with a quick glance her. She turned to look at him, “Of course.” He glanced at her while trying to look at the road, “What we did this morning, are you . . . okay with it?” She smiled slightly, “Oh, you mean the bare backing that was done?” He smirked, “Well, yeah. I mean, I’m clean if that is a concern.” She smiled small, “Nope, it’s never a concern with you guys. Not that I’ve been with many men. I can still count on one hand how many men I have ever been with. And in case you are curious, I am clean myself.” He squeezed her leg gently, “Well, that is good to know,” with a smile, “But, are you okay with it?” “Oh, I see. You want to know whether or not I’m okay with you coming inside me?” He let out a breath, “Yes.” “What did I tell you while we were in bed?” “You wanted me to be inside of you.” “Then, I am okay with it. What are you really asking Draven?” He moved his hand to cover the area between her hip bones, “This.” “Oh, if I get pregnant?” He sighed, moving his hand back to her leg, “Yes.” “I’ve been on the pill since I was eighteen. I’m thirty right now. I think the chances are slim to none with me being on it. But, if by some fate of god I do get pregnant, it is not the end of the world. I would be okay with that, if that finally answers your question.” He nodded, “Yes,” and glancing at her quickly, “Look, I told you. There is just something about you that I want to protect. I want you Nina.” “I know. You did several times this morning.” He pulled into the funeral home and parked, turning off the engine. He turned to her and looked into her eyes, “No, Nina.Yes. s**t, look, I want you,” stammering over his words, “I want all of you. I want you to be mine. I don’t want you to date anyone else, and I don’t want to date anyone else. I want to wake up in the morning and know you will be lying next to me.” “But Draven, we don’t even know each other. We just met last week.” He took off his sunglasses to look into her eyes, “Look, I get that. But like I said, there is just something about you that I can’t leave. I don’t want to leave. I’m a US Navy SEAL. We are all basically man-whores. Hell, I don’t even want to tell you what my number is. But then, I met you. The first moment I saw you at the bar, and I was lost in your beautiful eyes. And then, this morning, I have never done that. With anyone. You may hear some men lie about that,” shaking his head, “But I’m not one of them. I want you. I want all of you. I want to protect you. Everyday.” She looked him in the eyes, “You’re not just saying that because my brother just died? Are you?” Not breaking his eye contact with her, “Never.” She swallowed, unsure of what to say. “Let me get through this with my brothers, and when we get back to Hawaii, take me paddle boarding, and we can go from there.” He eyed her and took her hand to his lips where he gave her a soft kiss, “I can deal with that.” She nodded and kissed him quickly. When he pulled away, he could see five of her brothers looking at them, “Stay here, I’ll come around and open your door.” She did as he said, and when he opened her door, he held his hand out to help her out. When she got out, she went to her brothers to hug them. Hunter came out of the funeral home, “Come on guys. The director is waiting for us.” They all went inside, letting Nina in first before all of them. Draven was the last one in, following the rest. Hunter stopped him as the rest went into a conference room, “You stay here.” Draven looked at him square in the eye, “I’m here for Nina. Either you let me go with her, or I will go thru you.” “Look, I don’t think you seem to understand this. This is my family. She is my sister. I will protect what is mine.” “She isn’t yours, brah. Nina is mine.” “Are you f*****g my sister?” he said angrily. As Hunter squared off with Draven, Nina came out of the conference room, “Omega,” moving to the two men, “Knock it off.” Hunter looked at Nina and then at Draven, “This isn’t over. Bra.” Draven looked at Hunter as Nina went to stand in front of him and not her brother, “Yeah, it is.” Nina looked at Hunter and said quietly, “No. We are not doing this here. I brought him because I need him here with me. Just like all you guys brought your girlfriends.” At that moment, Draven noticed the girlfriends waiting off to the side, ranging in ages, shapes, sizes, and races. “Alpha,” Hunter protested. She held up her hand, “At this current moment, just like your flavor of the week, Sandy or Brittany or whatever the f**k her name is over there,” indicating with her head, “I am with Draven. He is mine. Now shut. The. f**k. Up. Let’s go into the conference room where we can make final decisions for our brother. We will discuss this later.” He grunted and turned around to go into the conference room. Nina turned to Draven, “Come on.” Then she turned to the other girls, “Ladies, after you.” The one that was with Hunter side-eyed Nina, “And for the record my name is Ginger and I’m his girlfriend, b***h,” she spat. Nina wasn’t having it. She stopped her by stepping in front of her and five others, “Excuse me? What did you say?” Ginger crossed her arms over her well-endowed chest, “You heard me.” Blaine came back out, “Alpha,” he said with a warning. She looked at him over her shoulder, shooting him a look and then looked back at Ginger and stepped closer to her five-foot nine height, “For starters, flavor of the week, that is what you are. Deal with it. And secondly, I’m the b***h in this family that can make you go from the flavor of the week to nothing with a snap of fingers. Now what’s it gonna be bar bunny? Don’t make me rip out your cheap blonde extensions off you.” One of the girls behind her that Nina already had an encounter with stepped towards her, “Don’t do it Ginger. They all trained her well. Trust me.” Nina smirked as Ginger looked at the girl and then looked back at her. Without a word, she side-stepped Nina and went into the conference room. Nina moved aside to let the others pass. Draven felt his chest swell with pride as he looked at Nina, and then watched as the rest of the women all filed in. When Nina and Draven made their way into the conference room, all of the brothers were seated with their girlfriends seating behind them. There was one seat left across from Hunter as all the brothers sat in order of birth. Nina took it, and Draven sat directly behind her against the wall. She could see as Hunter shot eyes at Draven. She couldn’t see his reaction, but Draven was smirking right back at him. The director went in, and all the men stood up, and then sat down when the director did, “Ladies, and gentleman,” and then turned his attention to Nina and Blaine, “First, my sincerities condolences to you and your loved ones. I know this must be a hard time for you all.” Blaine and the others nodded. Nina spoke, “Thank you.” “Which one of you will be making the decisions for Wesley?” Nina looked at Hunter, “I will.” Hunter tried to protest but her look shot him down. She pulled out a large envelope that was sealed with official military stamps on it. Hunter looked at her, “When did he give that to you?” She looked at her brother, “Three years ago. As have all of our brothers, except you,” the brothers looking at Hunter, “But you would have known that had you asked.” Hunter closed his mouth, his lips forming a thin line of contempt. Nina ignored his facial expressions and opened the seal, taking out the contents and began to read, “I, Wesley Moreno, being of sound mind and body, doth bequeath the rights of privilege to my one and only sister, Doctor Rowena Moreno. She has the right to make decisions for me on my behalf, whether it is for medical reasons or in the event of my death. Should it be for medical privileges, should my body no longer be own, please let me die,” Nina said getting choked up, “I do not wish to have any long drawn out or unnecessary procedures done to try and prolong my life. Should it be for the event of my death,” she paused and swallowed deeply, “I would request the following. I want my remains,” a tear escaping her eye, “To be cremated,” she wiped at it, “Two years ago, I had the privilege of seeing one of my Ranger brothers be put to rest with a traditional Hawaiian funeral ceremony. I would like the same privilege to be bestowed upon me. I know one of my oldest brothers, Omega,” glancing at Hunter, “Will probably have an issue with this, but bro, ‘Rangers lead the way’,” Nina saw Hunter squeeze his eyes with his finger and thumb, “Please don’t mourn for me. I am no longer in pain. I am no longer ill or sick or dying. I am with our mother,” Nina sobbed, and then she felt Draven put his arms around her shoulders from the back. She put her hand on his forearm and continued, “With my military honors, while I loved our country, it is not needed. I don’t want to picture Nina receiving a flag dressed in black. I want to picture Nina and the rest of you dressed in white, out on surf boards or paddle boards or canoes, in the bright Hawaiian sky with the plumeria so fragrant in the air against the salt water,” she swallowed, “Know that I love you all. We will see each other again. Blessed be. Signed, Wesley Thomas Moreno. Notarized by Constance Bremall, Judge Advocate General. Attorney at law.” Nina handed the document over to the director. He saw all of the seals of approval, “Ok. We can do that. Certainly. Do you all want to pick out an urn for him?” showing them a book of what they offered. Nina took it, and then took out another document from the envelope. It had a picture of a simple brass urn with the Ranger motto etched into it. She placed the photo on the book, “He wanted this one.” The director nodded, “Not a problem,” adding the photo to his file, “And how many death certificates will you be needing?” Nine pulled out yet again another form, “Uh, it looks like he will need at least fifteen,” and handed it to the director, who added it to his file. They continued the rest of the meeting with Nina taking the reins. When it was over, the director stood up, along with everyone else in the room. He shook Nina’s hand first, “Again, my condolences to you,” and then with Blaine. After the director left, Hunter looked at Nina, “How dare you keep something like that from me.” “Keep it from you? Wes tried to tell you, several times, what he wanted done in the event of his death. All of you are Army Rangers. You know what kind of life you lead. You know you can be called away at a moments notice and you know you may not come back. Wes knew that. For being twenty-three years old, he knew what he signed up for was a risk. He had to make the arrangements. He tried to tell you. You wouldn’t listen. You would tell him, ‘Ah, bro, you’ll be fine. We won’t have to ever make a decision like that.’ So who did he come to? Me. As did everyone else, because you would refuse to listen. I have the power of privilege and medical power of attorney for all, except you. Why? Because I,” pointing to herself, “am the one that will honor your wishes.” “Goddammit Alpha! You could have f*****g told me!” he shouted at her. “And what, have you brush it off? Yet again?” she asked calmly. Hunter’s green eyes were growing dark in anger, “I would have, had I known.” Nina looked at him dead straight in the eyes, “No. You wouldn’t have. You would have put it in a pile with everything else. You would have given it to your latest conquest,” motioning to Ginger, “For them to handle.” “Don’t be talking s**t about my girl, Rowena, I heard what you told her outside,” he said pointing a finger at her. “I didn’t. I stated the facts.” “Facts? That she is a bar bunny with cheap extensions? How dare you insult her!” “You just did that all on your own.” Hunter then lunged for Nina across the narrow table, but Draven was quicker and put himself between them two, putting Nina behind himself, pulling her behind his back, keeping a hand on her hip protectively, while his body went into defensive mode. The other brothers all reacted quickly by either pulling Hunter back while others went to surround Nina. The girlfriend’s coward away against the wall. Most, if not all brothers said, “Don’t you f*****g dare, Omega,” in one variation or another. Hunter was being held by three of the brothers, “Get off of me!” he shouted. Blaine had a hand on his chest, “Not on your life. Not until you calm the f**k down, bro.” “She insulted my girlfriend!” “No, she didn’t. You did that. She just told her the facts, brother,” Deacon repeated. Hunter looked into Deacon’s matching green eyes, “You are a f*****g traitor!” Blaine spoke calmly as his hand stayed on his chest and he and the other brothers braced to keep him immobile, “No, dude. We aren’t. We are standing by the wishes of our late brother. Deal with it. Now calm the f**k down. Or we will do it for you.” Last time Hunter had tried to take on the brothers, he hurt for several weeks after. He held up a hand in defeat, “Fine.” The brothers waited to release him. “Fine!” he said sternly. The three slowly backed away from him. All of them still on edge to see if he would try it again. Without breaking eye contact with Draven, he grabbed Ginger’s hand, “Let’s go.” As he walked around the table, Draven followed circling around Nina protectively, keeping himself as a physical barrier between the two. Finally, when he left the premises did everyone else relax. Blaine, being the oldest, looked at Draven, “I’ve never seen anyone move as fast as you did. And as Rangers, we have seen a lot.” Draven looked at him and all of the other brothers, now aware he was surrounded by a bunch of Rangers. He nodded. “We never got to hear your answer last night. What do you do?” Blaine said in a semi-relaxed stance. Draven eyed his brothers at arms, “I am a U.S. Navy SEAL.” “Now, I’ve met many SpecOps comrades in my time. I’ll show you mine if you show me yours,” and then watched as Blaine and the other brothers lifted the sleeves of their shirts to reveal their Ranger badge on their upper arm close to their shoulder. Draven was wearing long sleeve, so he lifted his shirt to reveal the Navy SEAL trident with the motto “The Only Easy Day Was Yesterday” tattooed on his left pectoral along with a love bite that Nina left behind, and then removed his left arm from the sleeve to show on his upper arm his own stripes for his rank along with an intricate Hawaiian tattoo to complete the sleeve on his arm. If the enemy had been looking at it, they wouldn’t really know what it meant. Blaine stood up straight, “Atten-hut!” and watched all the brothers stand at attention, “Officer on deck,” and saluted. Draven put his arm back through his sleeve and saluted back. Blaine and the others finally put their arms down, “It’s good to see our sister being taken care of.” Draven had put his arm down, “The pleasure is all mine.” “We are having a get together tomorrow with the rest of his squad. A Memorial of sorts. We would be honored if you came with Alpha,” then looking at Nina, “Bring him. If you can.” Nina nodded, “You got it.” The next day, they showed up at a local post on base allowed for such gatherings. Nina was dressed in a one-piece black romper with spaghetti straps with black strappy sandals, and her long hair down with a section of her bangs pulled back. Draven wore black cargo shorts, with a gray shirt that had a black sugar skull on the front with all black Converse. When they walked up to the large group of men and women, it did not escape Nina when several of the women turned to watch Draven and make small quiet remarks to each other. Blaine went and shook Draven’s hand, “Glad you could come, brother.” Draven shook his hand back, “Thank you for the invitation.” Then Blaine hugged Nina, nearly swallowing her in his embrace. He whispered something to Nina, but Draven couldn’t hear what he said. When Nina and he broke apart, Draven and she went and said hello to the rest of her brothers. After, Blaine introduced them to some of the others that were there for Wesley. Nina noticed that Hunter did not show up. Later as they sat around a table telling stories about Wesley, Nina had gotten up to get some water. As she stood filling her cup with ice, she felt a presence next to her. Looking up, she was looking at her ex-boyfriend from three years prior, Calvin Hastings. He was also a Ranger and had been introduced to her four years prior by Blaine. He and Nina had broken up three years ago when she found him in bed with a bar bunny. He stood shorter than Draven at five-seven with black hair and blue eyes. He used to be on Blaine’s team when they met but was quickly transferred out when things went south between him and Nina. “Hey, Nina. I heard about your brother. My condolences to you and your brothers.” She nodded, “Thank you, Cal.” “So, are you here with anyone?” “I am. Several, in fact.” Draven watched as they spoke and noticed how uncomfortable Nina looked. Saying his excuses, he went over to Nina and the guy that was trying to flirt with her. He curled his arm around Nina’s shoulder, drawing her to his chest, “There you are. You okay, baby?” and kissed her neck. She smiled and placed her hand on his forearm, “Yes, now that you are here.” Draven stood up to his full height to look at Calvin, “Hi, I’m Draven,” holding out his free hand. Calvin saw how much taller and bigger he was them himself, and swallowed visibly, then held out his hand, “Calvin.” “Well, Calvin, if you don’t mind, I am going to steal this beautiful woman away. Her brothers were just getting ready to tell a story about Wesley’s time in Ranger training.” He nodded, “Sure.” Draven then led Nina away with his hand on the small of her back. She looked up at him, “Thank you. He is my ex- from three years ago. It didn’t end well.” He put is arm around her, “Glad to help,” and kissed the top of her head. She began to tell him about how things ended. “His loss, my gain,” and kissed the top of her hand. A few hours later, they were finally headed back to their hotel room. Nina stood taking off her sandals tiredly. Draven leaned up against the door with his arms crossed, just watching her. She took her barrette out of her hair and shook it free with a small sigh. When she noticed he was watching her, she turned, “What?” “You are just so f*****g beautiful.” She rolled her eyes at him, “Whatever.” He unfolded his arms and went over to her, “Did you just roll your eyes at me?” She smirked, “Yeah, I did.” “That isn’t very nice.” She looked up at him, “What are you gonna do about it?” raising an eyebrow challenging him.
