Seth looks at Abby as she hands him the remote control. Abby was acting strangely these days, he noticed. He has the impression that she is already hesitant to interact with him.
He places the remote control on the small table in front of them after selecting the appropriate television channel and attempts to watch the drama series shown on the screen. Abby, who sits beside her, is deafeningly quiet, her gaze fixated on the TV.
He decides to look at her and stare at her; Abby probably notices her intent stares and returns a glance that causes her cheeks to flush.
Seth resumes the talk, "You seem to flush every time I look at you."
"Because the way you stare at me makes me look like the most gorgeous girl," Abby tries to make a joke out of it.
"Of course you are," Seth responds immediately.
"So you do think I'm attractive?" Abby asks longingly about his remarks.
"Yeah right!"
Of course, he's telling the truth. He finds Abby particularly attractive when she is upset and blushing.
He recalled the first time he saw her nearly naked. It was an unintended consequence. The door was unlocked at the time, so he walked right in to see Abby changing her underwear. But he abruptly turned to his back before he could see everything.
"You don't wanna look, huh?" Abby teased her the moment she saw him turning his back from her.
"Hahahhahah, not interested.Done?" He said laughing.
"Yes,"
When he turned around, Abby was still wearing her black underpants. She was looking through her closet for something to wear. He just stood there, not fully aware that he was watching her, admiring her elegant and curvy back. When he saw her stretching her back sensuously, his mind went blank. He can feel the softness of her flawless skin without even touching it. He didn't know why he felt something strange swelling down below, but he quickly diverted his attention away from the thought.
No. He didn't seem to have been feeling anything; perhaps this is a normal reaction. When Abby turned to him, he had already recovered from the pressure.
"So, what do we have planned for today?" Abby inquired as she began putting on her clothes in front of her.
"I'm not sure; it's up to you."
"Hmmm, I'll think about that," Abby continued to dress up.
He was bewildered. Under his shirt, he was dripping wet. He had no idea what was going on with his body or how it was reacting to Abby's half-nakedness. He has already acknowledged to himself that he is homosexual. Maybe it's because this was the first time he's seen Abby so close to being naked?
Good thing he didn't make a big deal out of it after that day. He didn't want his sexuality to be tainted again. That's something he's gone through. Although there were still times he felt the tiny familiar sensations every time he saw Abby's body from then on, He appears to be getting used to it now. All he requires is a laser-like concentration.
"What you're thinking?" Abby cuts him off in his reminiscences of the past.
"I'm thinking about eating some ice cream instead of watching TV,"
"Wait a minute-" she pauses.
"I believe there's still ice cream in the fridge; let me double-check." Abby gets to her feet and walks into the kitchen. He follows in her footsteps with his eyes. He believes her friend is extremely attractive, and it's still a big puzzle to solve why she hasn't found a boyfriend yet.
"How come Abby isn't here?" In the living room, Marissa appears. "How come you're the only one here?"
"She's in the kitchen getting some ice cream"
Marissa sits alongside her after he says those words. "Do you think this will appeal to Anthony?" Looking down at her blue silk nightgown, Marissa inquired.
"It looks exquisite on you, Marizee," Seth comments, scrutinizing the silk she is wearing.
"I'm pleased you don't like to dress like this, Sethy."
He points to his own clothes and says, "No, I felt fine wearing these."
"Here comes the ice cream!" Abby yells that they both turned their heads to her as she carried a can of ice cream.
"Was that the ice cream from yesterday?" Marissa shouts a bit. Abby put the ice cream on the table, alongside two small cups and spoons.
"Mom, you should be in bed right now, look what you're wearing," Abby jokes to her mother.
"What's the problem?" hissed Marissa. Seth laughs at Marissa's reaction. Marissa seems to be not aware that Abby is just joking since she's not used to wearing clothes like what her mother is wearing now.
"Dad hasn't arrived yet, has he? It's already past eight o'clock "Abby is perplexed by his father's late arrival.
"He texted 20 minutes ago that he was on his way."
"All right, let's eat."
They begin to eat the ice cream. Marissa doesn't seem to care about the ice cream. Her gaze is suddenly drawn to the door expecting someone to appear.
"Don't worry, Marizee. Anthony will probably be here in a minute," Seth assures her, as she appears concerned.
The door swings open as Anthony walks in his suit slung over his shoulder and a suitcase clutched in his hand. Abby's father is a superb engineer who works for a big corporation. Anthony gave Abby the most of her characteristics. Her eyes and nose and her pinkish white skin. Well, her chin and lips, were all inherited from Marissa, making her entire appearance a perfect match.
"Seth," Anthony says as a greeting. He is well aware that he spends the majority of his time at his house rather than his. Seth simply nods with a firm smile. He doesn't know but every time when Anthony is around, he prefers to act straight. He feels like If he makes delicate motions, it would be a mistake.
Abby wishes she could laugh at the situation. She is aware of Seth's current situation.
"Seth, he's already gone. You can now breathe," Abby exclaims, laughing heartily at him.
"Wow, that was difficult!" Seth blunts his voice as he sinks fully into the sofa.
"Why are you so frightened of my dad? I can't fail to want him so much to be around always so that you can be a man yourself."
Seth replied, "I don't know why I fear him so much."
Seth continues to drag his attention to the ice cream. Then she looks at Abby. He noticed these days that she flushes every time he looks at her. She seems uncomfortable with him. If every time he talks to her, he finds her turning red or getting flustered, she's not the kind of girl who blushes whenever she talks to any guy -- she could just be shy and aloof around guys.
And unexpectedly, he finds it amusing. What happened to her best friend? He remembered she started to change after that dream which she wouldn't want to talk about. He will really try to ask her about it next time. If he's not mistaken, maybe she has dreamed about him and he is even more curious now about what happened to that dream that simply changed her.
