The following morning in class, Abby looked up and searched for Sabrina. She doesn't appear to have arrived yet. She wanted to tell her that Seth thought she was lovely as well.
"Has Sabrina arrived?" Abby inquired of one of her classmates.
"I haven't noticed," was the response.
When she returned her gaze to the door, Sabrina appeared, smiling at one of her friends. They weren't close, but she was starting to like her for Seth. She watched her slowly as she marched to her seat and sat. She walked in her direction and sat beside her.
"Hello," Abby said shyly.
"Hello," Sabrina said with a smile glancing around to make sure that she's really talking with her.
"I know we're not supposed to talk, but can we be friends?" While saying those words, Abby was half-smiled and half-confused.
