The interrogation

1135 Words
While listening to the roaring sound of the BTS tracks on the radio, Abby keeps her eyes on the road. In comparison to last month, which was frequently rainy, the weather these days is pleasant. She tries not to look at Seth as he drives beside him because it will just bring her back to her dreams from the night before, and the scenes in her dreams remain unspoiled in her mind.  Seth is humming to his favorite music, and his hands on the steering wheel appear to be occupied with the song. She doesn't like the song, but she has no choice because she's in his car; at the very least, it helps her forget about Seth's body for a while. Seth is in the mood for a ride, which could be because they're on their way to Edward's birthday party. Seth has admired Edward for quite some time now, ever since the latter began working for the same company they do. "You're very quiet today." Seth managed to say this while staring at her and turning down the volume of the music. He appears to notice her silence. "Do you think I am?" She responds with her gaze fixed on the road. "Is that because of your dream, darling? Tell me, please "Seth says, his voice so candid, with a strange look on his face. Please, Seth, talk about something other than the dream. "No, I'm afraid I can't tell you." Abby asserts firmly. Deep down, she knows it's pointless to tell him. Seth snobs. He has a strong feeling that the dream is bothering her. Abby is a woman with a lot to say. The way she acted earlier and now may have been influenced by what happened in her dream. "All right, but at least talk, darling," Seth says, trying to put on a sympathetic expression. "I'm not in the mood to talk, Seth," she says. Abby responds, concerned about the tone of Seth's voice right now. Listening to his high-pitched scratchy voice is starting to irritate her. Is it because she misses the tone of his voice in her dreams? "Okay," Seth says melodiously, hoping Abby will reconsider. The atmosphere inside the car is shrouded in silence. Abby is still keeping herself busy, despite the fact that it's still a long drive to Edward's house. It's Saturday, and the road is completely congested. People these days are having a call for 'a day-off stamina" after a weekday hard work. "Have you ever tried to get attracted to a woman, for example? " Abby breaks the silence with that out of nowhere question. She needs to disclose what has locked up in her mind. Seth extracts a loud amusing laugh. Where's that question coming from, Abby? "OMG! How could I, Abz?" Seth responds by continuing to laugh aloud. "Are you serious?" he inquired. "Never mind," Abby says, implying that she is dissatisfied with his responses. "Come on, Abz, you have a story to tell." It's the first time you've posed that question to me. "Try me, I'm listening," Seth says, encouraging her to speak up. "It's really nothing," Abby stated that she was definitely elaborating on the subject she brought up. "Okay, no pressure," Seth says, turning up the music to escape the silent treatment he received from her best friend.  He looks at Abby, who has returned her gaze to the road. He remembered how many times guys had asked for her phone number in order to get a date with her. Knowing her, she's aloof to guys, which is an advantage for him because he doesn't have to binge a panel interview for whoever might pass for his taste or be mistaken for his own taste. He has no idea what her type is because every time he asks her, she simply responds with a 'f**k you' signed finger. Abigael is your typical Abigael. "Do you have any plans to get your hair cut again?" After a brief hush, Abby exclaims. Seth burst out laughing again, much louder this time. "What's on your mind, Abz?" Seth says, his gaze shifting between Abby and the road ahead of him. "I'm just asking, and second, please stop calling me that; you know I don't like it wherever you got it." Abby makes a loud screech. " As you wish, if you answer my two questions." Seth clears out. He likes to call her that pet name ever since they were in High school. "Two questions?" Abby clarifies. What was his first question?  "Playing dumb, Abz? Try harder!!!!!" Seth says playfully raising his eyebrows. She stares into his eyes, unable to say anything. Her brain has processed the naughty delineation once more. She can now imagine the burning fire igniting in his eyes, which is so similar to what she saw in her dreams, and worst of all, it instantly gives her an intense chill to her senses, sensually down to hers. She's drenched on the inside. Oh, my God. I'm going insane. "What?" Seth says seeing Abby's lengthy stare. "Were you dreaming about me, huh?" Seth assumes. "No!" Abby snaps as her senses get back to reality. "Okay," Seth answered. "Do you think Edward likes me?" Seth changed the topic since the interrogation earlier was pointless. “I'm not Edward, you should ask him yourself," Abby replies while checking on her smartphone. "I'm looking for your persuasion, darling; I know you're good at people watching." Seth pleads. "We're nearly there." He turns the steering wheel to the right, bringing him to Edwards' exact location. "Haven't you learned anything from your previous relationship with Alex?" Abby reminds him because he is now engaging in the new affair. "Alex was already a past, darling," Seth confirms with remorse. His expression hardens. "Oops! Take care!" Abby hissed, pointing to a cat that had just crossed the street in front of their car. "Wonderful!" Seth snaps as he slowly maneuvers his car. "Do you have any idea what that means?" He asks, looking sideways at the road, pondering what kind of creature will appear. "What do you mean?" Abby responds, watching the yellow cat vanish in an instant as it leaps off at the corner. "When you see a cat crossing the road while driving, it is thought to be an omen of bad luck," Seth elaborates. "I believe you're referring to a black cat," Abby explains. "Is it?" Seth asks, recognizing where he got that concept. "Hey, you're not answering my question again?" He added when he remembers his last question. " I don't have much time for a discovery quest, Seth." Abby excuses. Seth cracks an earsplitting laugh that quickens her to cover her ears with her two hands. Was this the same man she had just had s*x with in her dreams?
