Chapter Seven

Chapter 7:

In a world where knowledge is something people try to bury, once Uncovered, secrets begin to be revealed. Things a person never thought would have existed come to life, things a person never thought they see blinds them. Like always the same Grey icy blue eyes seem to give me comfort. Even in... Darkness.

"What happened here? Didn't I tell you no harm was to come to my mate, your Luna?" a powerful voice rang in my ears, waking me up from this sleep I pretty much wanted to continue enjoying. I didn't want the dream to end. The dream of the wolves.

"I apologize alpha, but Believe me, I did not make her Faint, she just fainted from all the... Ugh... I don't know, stress??" the second voice said in fear. His voice was shaky. “It’s not shocking since she must have been surprised by the transforming of wolves and the encounter with the rogues.” He hurriedly continued to explain.

My eyes snapped open as I was blinded by the lights. I winced by the brightness, moving my hand to block it from further destroying my eyes.

"Victoria?" I heard a voice. A voice I was all too familiar with and had come to love, to be able to recognize it anywhere.

I opened my eyes only to lock them with his lovely eyes. "Zolton?" I questioned a smile appeared in his face.

"Yeah it’s me, and you're finally awake. You have no idea how worried I was Victoria," he said with relief in his voice. He had made it seem like I had suddenly died and come back to life in an instant making me furrow my eyebrows at him.

"How long was I out?" I questioned as I winced from the sudden throbbing in my head. I closed my eyes slightly trying to sedate the pain.

"you've been out for a year,” he said making me freeze.

“…What?” I questioned confused at his words.

“We tried waking you up but there was no response from you, the pack doctors couldn’t find out why you had passed out so suddenly. But thankfully, now you are finally up." he said as he gave my hand a light squeeze.

Whaaaaaaaaat? The room fell into silence as only my ide eyes stared a hole right through him. So he was practically saying I died and woke up? If that was the case I should’ve died and never woke up. A laugh muffled by a cough rang in my ears as my eyes locked with a set of violet eyes that I felt I had seen somewhere. Zolton laughed out making me throw the pillow that was on my lap at him.

"I'm kidding, your reactions are so cute, you've been out for 2 hours, and you're at my house." he smiled as he caught the pillow. “Are you feeling okay?” He questioned.

“I am, but I had the craziest dream,” I said making him raise he eyebrows at me.

“Dream?”

"Yeah, There were werewolves and you were a wolf too, not that I'm saying it was anything bad, but damn you looked good. Anyway, these guys were there and, it wasn't a dream was it?" I questioned him as he looked at me like I had just seemed to have some sort of memory loss.

"Nope, it wasn't," he said.

"When we're you going to tell me? That you were a wolf?" I asked him as the atmosphere turned cold.

He looked at me as he patted my head, "When I finally married you." he said.     

I stared at him wide-eyed. Was he serious?

“Was this the reason you approached me in the first place?” I asked as he paused for a second.

“No, because even before I realized out were my mate, you already intrigued me.” He said as he placed a kiss on my forehead. I chuckled at his reply and shook my head.

"get some rest." he smiled as he walked out with the man, closing the door behind him.

I let my head hit the pillows as I let a buzzing through my phone. I picked it up only to see a message from My parents.

Not going to be home tonight, work is holding us back. See you tomorrow.

God! The day they actually tell me before-hand that things are not working well timely earlier would be the day angels fall from heaven. I let out a groan and threw my phone on the bedside stand.

I let the blanket fall onto the bed, after fixing it. The smell of food had tickled my nose capturing my attention. My stomach grumbled and burned forcing me on my two feet. I opened the door and followed my senses down the stairs. It was getting more enticing, more arousing. Food was definitely life. I walked into the kitchen towards a set down plate. I dug in and let my taste buds swim in joy.

A throat cleared itself behind me as I turned around to see many pairs of eyes set on Me. No one made a sound. Everyone looked at me, their eyes wide with surprise. Way to make a first impression. Nor even a cough was heard. I can’t believe I was blinded by my nose

"haha, hi..." I said awkwardly as my cheeks burned red. Soon I heard footsteps coming down in a hurry.

Zolton's eyes caught mine and he let out a sigh of, I think relief. He rushed up to me engulfing me into a hug. "I thought something happened to you. Didn’t I tell you to get some rest? Go out for 2 minutes and you disappear," he said. I don't think he noticed the eyes looking at us.

He then turned around to the men sitting there. There were only 2 girls among them. A quiet moment passed before squeals were heard. "oh my gosh, oh my gosh, oh my gosh! The Luna, it's her, she's so beautiful! She so ahhhhhhhhhhh!" they said and ran towards me poking me to see if I was real and then let out another squeal.

Two men walked behind them and wrapped their arms around their waists pulling them away from me. I guess they were mates. "nice to meet you Luna. I'm Clair." the short girl, okay, a bit shorter than me, introduced herself. She had blonde hair and the tips were dyed pink.

The other girl who had poked me, was a bit taller, she has wavy chocolate brown hair that flowed down her back. She simply waved. "she's Arianna, she doesn't talk much." Clair introduced.

"I'm Victoria." I introduced myself shyly with a smile.

"She's so nice! We're gonna be the best of friends." she tackled me and pulled me into a hug.

Friends? The word sounded so foreign, yet… so nice.
