The car rode smoothly on the tarred road of the quiet night of the town. I was not prepared and trying to mentally prepare myself certainly was not working. What had me preoccupied other than my parents, was the fact that Zolton didn’t even know what we were up against. Was this a sign that I had entered a situation I was never supposed to be in?
“Zolton…” I called out to him as he hummed. “Are Human mates common?”
