“Stop crying our princess. We can still fix the palace again. Okay? It’s going to be okay,” Mama said. “W-What if the earthquake continues? Maybe we’re gone now!” I exclaimed. “No. Don’t think about that. We are alive and that’s what’s important,” Mama said again to calmed me. I closed my eyes to calm myself when I suddenly remembered something. Or heard? It was as if something was in the air and whispering to me the words the man had uttered earlier. ‘Don’t you ever tell me I don’t exist’ I clenched my fist and moaned. He is at fault! “You don’t have a heart!” I said softly in a hard voice. ‘It’s not my fault. It yours. Because I warned you and you ignore it, ” I let go of Mama’s hug and turned away from her. My eyes were probably blazing in anger now. “I’m starting to pity the girl who will love you because you don’t have a heart! No one will stay to you and if someone has the gut to stay. I’m pretty sure she will leave!” I said hard. ‘She already did and you’re going to fulfill her position’ “What do you really want!?” ‘I told you. If you refused, Filifia will suffer. You just have to be my wife and have kids. That’s all my princess. Be with me and no one will suffer ‘ “I HATE YOU!” I shout again. Everyone there was looking at me when I suddenly shouted. I knew they thought I was crazy but I couldn”t stop the tears from falling in my eyes. I? Will marry a demon like him? No! “Ameerah,” Mom said worriedly. I looked at my mom with my teary eyes. She was the most beautiful and best mother in the world. My family was my precious gems and I can afford to lose them. If he could destroy the palace. He can probably kill people too. And that’s what I won’t let happen. I hugged her tightly, “I’m sorry Mother. I’m so sorry,” but I had to leave. I felt her caress my back, “Don’t apologize Ameerah. It’s not your fault,” “Yes Mom but I’m the compensation,” I whispered. She let go of the hug and looked at me in surprise, “What do you mean compensation?” She asked seriously. I just smiled and wiped away my tears, “I’m going to marry someone Mom,” for your safety and the safety of the people. Her eyes widened. I knew she didn”t expect what I would say because they knew I was reluctant to get married because of my stubborn rejection of princes back then. “With whom?” She was still wondering. “With” what’s his name? ‘Valdus, my princess’ “Valdus, mother,” I replied to my mother. ‘King Valdus’ I stiffened in my stance when I heard that. King? He was a king! But it was the least person I wanted to marry. ‘I’m really unfortunate to you Valdus’ To be continued… Chapter 3 Ameerah’s POV The damaged part of the palace is currently under construction. Fortunately, no helpers, soldiers and others were injured in the area when the earthquake caused by Valdus occurred. My blood still heats up every time I hear his name. Because I’m so annoyed with him and it’s a mess if I go with him so that everything will be fine, Papa and Mama are worried. They thought I had been traumatized by the earthquake but were unaware of it. I was burying someone in my head that’s why. I don’t know what decisions to make because I’m used to the fact that parents are the ones to follow when it comes to my welfare and that of the people. I want to say why I sometimes lose myself I can’t. They might just think I’m crazy. “The princess was so deep in her thoughts. Care to share?” I suddenly turned to Prince Clarence who was smiling broadly. I returned the smile to him because I shouldn’t have pinched him. My brotherLu trusted him so I trust him too that he is not like other princes. I shrugged my shoulders, “You wouldn’t believe what I’m thinking,” you might even think I’m crazy. I am here now on the large balcony of the palace where I can see the sea at the bottom of the hill on which the palace stands. Like the garden, it is also nice to stay here because of the relaxing sound of the crashing sea waves below. He sat on the sofa in front of me and looked at the sea. There was intense silence before I thought to ask him. “Just in case… the day comes when you have to leave even if you don’t want to. What’s the last thing you wanted to do before you go and never never comeback?” I asked a serious question while still staring at the sea. I felt his curious stare but I didn’t look. I don’t want him to see the sadness in my eyes. “If that situation is ever gonna happen with me. I will choose to be with the important people in my life. So I have memories to treasure and keep before I go, Princess. Why did you ask anyway?” I shook. “Would you do anything for your country if tomorrow you would sit on the throne?” I looked at him. His forehead wrinkled. He was obviously surprised by my questions. “Of course, Princess. That’s the purpose why I was born. To protect my people even it costs my life and happiness,” he replied thinking me. If so… I will visit all the people who are important to me then tell them how important they’re to me and go to the places I want before Valdus pulls me into his world. I will do this not because I am all he needs but as a princess of the Filifia. I’m going to go with for the sake of my people. I smiled to myself, “I want to be like my mother. She was tough and smart,” I whispered that she heard. “You’re going to be a perfect princess, your majesty. Enmerson and Ashton, both great royal bloods. Run to you,” Prince Clarence said. I smiled at him, “Thank you. Anyway, I won’t ask you to help me build my own business. There’s no need for it. I just want you to join me in Ihmapuleya to visit brotherand grandfather and grandmother, I know I’ll be allowed to travel if you’re with me, “he smiled broadly before nodding. “Everything you wish Princess Ameerah,” ~~~ Two soldiers opened the door inside my room before I went inside. Lady Alice was left outside. That’s what I want. I wanted to be alone in the meantime. But I didn”t expect my plan to come to naught. Because I saw Valdus sitting in my bed with his upperbody resting on the headboard. Once again I saw his strange eyes whose strength was enchanting. It beautiful yet creepy eyes. “I told you. You can stare at it anytime you want but I need you to go with me first. Don’t refuse,” his voice was authoritative but I didn’t pay attention to that. I’m not afraid of what he’ll do in me but I’m when it comes to my land’s people. I’ve seen what he can do and I don’t want to witness that again. I pulled out the chair in front of my vanity table and presented it in his direction for him to sit on. “What’s the purpose of marrying me? I’m sure you have a reason why you’re doing this,” I asked seriously to him. He smirked, “So smart just like your mother. I don’t wonder why she choosed you out from all the mortal princesses. Yes, there’s a reason why but I won’t tell you about that,” He said in a dismissive firm tone. I sighed then turned away from him. I am now staring at my own reflection. In my blue eyes. “I’ll come with you but please. Give me a week. I want to be with the important people in my life,” I sadly pleaded. I don’t want to fight with him. What am I up against? He has these extraordinary power that can control anyone. The more stubborn I became, the more devastated Filifia would be. I accepted my defeat already so I just asked for a little time to say goodbye. “Like? Like that Prince you were talking to earlier? You wanna be with him before you go. Is that you were asking me? If that’s the case. No way in what you called hell I will let that happen! You are mine Ameerah! ” There was name again in his sexy lips. But I have no intention of entertaining my feelings for that. I need to enlighten him so I can spend more time with my family. I close my eyes emphatically, “My family is what I’m referring to Valdus! It has nothing to do with the Prince you’ve seen before. No one is interceding for us!” I cried angrily. I stood up to face him but I stiffened in my stance as I faced him he was only a step away from me. His eyes captured mine like a predator but he wasn’t a predator who kills. He’s kind of predator that possess and hypnotizes someone. Damn those ruby red eyes! “You must have remained untouched Ameerah. Remember that. Because if someone dare to touch even your finger or your skin. I’ll make him suffer,” there was a threat in his voice but I don’t feel afraid. It was kind of hot threat that don’t include any violent reaction but a sweet pleasure in change. I gulped when I felt his finger tucking some of my hair behind my ears. “You must remain pure,” he whispered huskily. I gulped then I looked in his lips back to his eyes. “W-what if I let someone touched me?” I boldly question. I just want to see what he’s reaction will be. His eyes darkened. There’s no shining ruby colored in his eyes outline but only dark red which makes me stilled in my spot. I sighed as he held my hip tightly close to him. Our body collided and it create a very weird impact. That makes my heart react. “I’m going to take you before he can even tear your clothes off. And that ever happened my Princess. Your eyes will roll in pure ecstasy and your body will weakens in infinite rounds Ameerah,” I was devastated again when I heard his captivating voice. There was something in him that makes me really affected. The way he said those words. I can feel something in me was burning with unfamiliar feelings but one thing was sure. My body was responding to him. To be continued… Chapter 4 Ameerah’s POV Prince Clarence helped me up the horse and when he was sure that I was fine, he got on his own horse. We were leaving when Mama arrived. I waved at her. “Ameerah? Why did you think of going to Ihmapuleya? It’s just amazing because it’s not always done there,” Mama asked with a frown. I smiled at him. “That’s why I’m going Ma because I don’t get used to it anymore. I want to see the beauty of the kingdom where you came from and see them Grandpa and Grandma. Time is short. Maybe I won’t see them again,” because after a week, I’m leaving Mama smiled but there were traces of sadness and love. He held my hand holding the horse’s leash. “Be careful son. Say hello to Mother and Father,” he said “Opo Ma. We’ll go first,” I said goodbye He stepped back and smiled at Prince Clarence. “Take care of my Princess, Prince Clarence. She’s the Filifia’s diamond,” Mama Prince Clarence nodded and smiled. “I promised your highness,” We also traveled a few hours before we reached the Ihmapuleya palace. It is said that a lot has really changed here from the way people live, security and especially the palace. It was very far from its condition then according to the story. Thanks to my very smart and wonderful mother.
