The City of Fire
Velira is burning.
The sky splits like molten glass as divine fire rains down. Lightning forks sideways. Statues cry blood. Every bell in the city rings out without being touched.
> “They’re marking the return,” Azarel growls. “The gods are coming back and they’re not hiding anymore.”
Mira, pale and trembling, turns to Sera.
> “What did you do?”
> “I remembered,” Sera says. “And now they do, too.”
They rush through the panicking streets, dodging falling embers and screaming civilians. Magic crackles through the air wild, uncontrolled.
Then, a roar shakes the city.
> “It’s not just a god,” Jax says, drawing his blade. “It’s a Titan.”
