Ash hung in the air like snowfall. The ruins of Solstice, once a radiant seat of godhood, were now a skeletal graveyard of half-buried statues and burned scripture.
Sera adjusted the hood over her glowing eyes. Her power hadn’t settled. Every breath felt like she was trying to swallow a star.
Behind her, Theo checked the remaining battery on his ArcCore scanner.
“You sure it’s here?” he asked.
“No.” She paused. “But the Hollow showed me a memory. A sealed door beneath the Vault… and a name scratched into the stone.”
Theo frowned. “Whose?”
