CHAPTER-10I was in the kitchen eager to drink the espresso made by the new espresso machine in my kitchen on the idle Sunday morning when Jane barged into the apartment dressed in her travel gear. Noah, who was reading the newspaper in the living room, looked at her amazed as she walked to me quickly throwing a smile in his direction.
"Playing house, eh?" Jane asked looking to and fro between me and Noah who was now sauntering towards us obviously intrigued by my friend. She had that effect on men. Too bad for them she already had a serious boyfriend.
"Who is this charming lady, if I may ask?" Noah asked me leaning on the kitchen counter, his eyes on Jane. I would be lying if I had said I wasn't slightly irked by his flirting.
"Jane Williams," she said, her eyes glinting with mischief.
