After my night with Lily, everything felt different. It wasn't like the usual times we shared. This one felt real. Like something deeper connected us. Like she wasn't just my lover—she was my future.
I sat on the edge of the bed, running a hand through my hair. Lily lay next to me, half-covered in the sheets, her fingers slowly tracing circles on my back.
"You're quiet," she whispered. "Too quiet."
"Just thinking," I replied without turning.
"About me?"
I glanced over my shoulder, smirking. "Always."
She smiled, then sat up, pulling the sheet to her chest. "Tell me what's bothering you."
