Queen Amira had already sent me a quiet signal while I was with Lord Ugarh. It was just a small blink, but I knew what it meant. I had to notify the hidden spies in Betmor Kingdom and the Forge Kingdom. Time was short, and I couldn't waste any of it.
"Ugarh," I said softly while standing near him. "We need to leave now."
He looked at me, surprised. "Why? We're safe here."
"Something feels wrong. We need to be somewhere else. It's not safe anymore."
He hesitated, but then nodded. He trusted me.
