Chapter4-Ava

908 Words
I descend the stairs wearing nothing but a white silk robe. There weren’t any other clothes in the room and Defni took the lingerie I was wearing to the laundry, but I won’t be needing it, ill never wear that ever again. I figure that I’m now going to perform the duties he purchased me for. The sick part is I’m not dreading it and that makes me angry with myself. “Don’t get yourself killed tonight” Dafni whispers, she’s walking next to me “I actually like you” I glare at her. If she actually liked me, she would have helped me to get out of here. “Do people just get killed on a random Tuesday around here?” I’m being sarcastic but the look she gives me has me a little rattled. We reach the bottom of the stairs and she leads me to a dining room with a long table and sitting at the head is Luca Drako. Dafni pulls out a seat for me at the opposite end of the table, Luca doesn’t even spare me a glance. There’s food on the table and my stomach growls like I haven’t eaten in days, which is almost accurate. Dafni notices. “Let me make a plate for you.” And she starts moving around the table scooping up all sorts of food into a plate. Luca is very focused on whatever he’s reading on his phone. I don’t want to provoke him or make him notice me but f**k it what’s the use of tiptoeing around this man. If he kills me then I die. “You know you could have just properly asked me to dinner”. That has him lifting up his head. I feel something flutter in my stomach but I ignore the feeling. Focus Ava! “What makes you think your owner has to ask you for anything?” he says in a cold tone. I feel my anger rise again. “You know I’m a person, right? It doesn’t matter how much you spent on me, I’m still a person” I spit back grinding my teeth. I won’t let him degrade me. “I have a receipt for you Kokkino, you are no different from the chair I’m sitting on” his tone is calm, but his words are full of venom “When I tell you to do something you do it. I don’t ask my belongings for anything” Dafni brings a plate full of food to me, her face neutral like she didn’t just hear any of that. She quickly exits the room disappearing out of view. “And what if I say no. It’s not like I asked you to buy me and I’m here against my will so I don’t have to listen to you”. I see something flash in his eyes but it’s gone before I can make out what it is. “Come here”, he growls. There’s so much authority in his voice that I almost stand up but I don’t. I stand my ground let’s see what he does to me. He picks up the glass full of wine which is in front of him, swirls it a little and violently throws it in my direction. I scream and duck. The glass hits the far wall behind me. I turn to see glass shards on the ground and the red wine dripping on the white walls. “I won’t repeat myself” his face is neutral, no anger, no emotion. I quickly stand up realizing that I underestimated this psycho. I move to him my heart pounding. He’s so unpredictable who knows what he’s planning on doing to me. I stand next to his chair facing him. He roughly pulls me down into his lap. I’m about to say something when his hand clamps around my neck, choking me. “Don’t try to show off your balls with me Kokkino. I have no patience for insolence” he says. I’m clawing at his hand and fighting for breath at the same time. I feel tears spill from my eyes and I start making choking sounds. This demon is going to kill me. “Please” I choke out the only word that comes to mind. He’s looking into my eyes and I see no remorse in his and again no emotion. “Sorry, sorry” I don’t even recognize my own voice anymore. I’m desperate and scared. The thought of him actually killing me keeps swirling in head. But I also feel something else low in my belly. Arousal. What the f**k is wrong with me, this beast is about to choke me to death and my body can only react by saying ,Oh that’s hot. He finally let’s go and shoves me to the floor. I gasp for air anger rising up in me. My hands are shaking and the tears finally stop. “Get up and eat” he says and I don’t waste even a second standing up. I move back to my chair, sit down and grab a fork willing myself to eat. “So my cousin was right” I hear a voice coming from the door. I look up and it’s a woman. She looks so beautiful and classy with her hair pulled back into a tight bun. “My dear husband bought himself a w***e”
