First day.

On a rainy day in July, a raindrop hit the rooftop and windows of a two-bedroom apartment where Brooke Williams lay in her medium-sized bed, the white sheet slumbering over her head. Today is her very first day at work. Ping, ping. Ping, ping. The alarm went off with a clattering noise, waking Brooke. Stretching her delicate hand to silence the alarm, Brooke stepped out of bed and made her way to the bathroom. She brushed her teeth and washed her face before heading to the kitchen. In the kitchen of her two-bedroom apartment, her best friend Summer Smite swayed her hips to a Selena Gomez song while making scrambled eggs, bacon, and blueberry muffins for breakfast. Unlike Brooke, Summer had a lively and outgoing personality, known for her party-crashing ways—there was never a party she wouldn't attend. But never the least Brooke saw her as a soul sister loving her as her blood. Hi, sis! Good morning! How was your night?" Summer exclaimed, shouting over the music. "Good, and yours?" Brooke shouted back, pouring herself some freshly made black coffee. "Need any help with that?" "thanks Here, take the muffins and set the table," Summer replied. Singing along with her friend, they turned the kitchen into a lively little concert. After setting the table, Brooke and Summer decided it was time to enjoy their breakfast together. Sitting at the table, Brooke poured her friend some milk. "Brooke, what time does your work start?" Summer asked while sipping her milk, her almond-colored eyes sparkling with excitement. Spreading some room-temperature butter on her bread, Brooke answered, "I'm leaving in the next hour. It starts at 10 Why do you ask?" "Just checking to see if I have enough time to do my magic." Seeing the big grin on her best friend's lips, Brooke could guess what she meant by magic. Rolling her eyes in annoyance, she knew there was no way of getting out of this. "Ohk, but this is the first and last! she said while sipping her tea." "Hurry up, it's almost time to leave meet me in your room." Summer exclaims while grabbing a muffin out of a plate in the center of the table "biting into the muffin she exclaims "Dang that's one hell of a muffin!" she giggles and makes her way to her room excited Looking at her friend's back Brooke could not help a laugh. "There is no way I am wearing that!" she shouted to her friend. "What's wrong? There is nothing wrong with this dress. It's lovely," Summer said, winking at her friend. "You mean lovely for a party, not for work! You must be kidding. Do you seriously want me to go to work in that short dress? I can't even bend over! How will I be able to do my tasks around the office?" "Okay! I have two more options. Can you just relax?" Looking at the two more dresses Summer placed on her bed, Brooke couldn't help but think it was a bad idea to let her friend choose her work outfit. Laid out on the bed was a short-sleeved green bodycon dress with a mid-length neckline, falling just over her knee, and a small slit in the back. The next dress was a red bodycon dress with longer sleeves and an even lower neckline. "Hurry up and pick one! Time's running out!" Summer said, tugging her friend out of her trance. Brooke was lost in thought, thinking about her brand-new blue tracksuit she had bought specifically for this day and how soft and warm it felt against her skin. Sighing, she decided to pick one. "Dang, you look nice!" Summer said as her friend approached her from the restroom, staring at how the dress enhanced her curves. "This is not that bad!" Brooke said while staring at her reflection in a long mirror. "Oh, I almost forgot. I also have the perfect shoes to go along with it," Summer said, taking out a shoe box from beside the bed. Opening the box, there was a pair of nice red bottom 100 mm pump heels. Looking at the heels, Brooke couldn't keep her eyes off them. They were what you would call very eye-catching shoes. The black leather shone from every angle. Looking at the shoes, Brooke couldn't believe she finally had the shoes she always wanted. "Thanks a lot!" Brooke exclaimed, shedding some tears of joy. "Anything for you. Oh, and come, let me do your makeup. You have 30 minutes before it's time to leave. Sit, let me work my magic. Do you want a more natural look or a nude look?" Summer asked, looking at her friend. "Nude is fine," Brooke replied, wiping her face with wipes. Ten minutes later, Summer handed her a mirror. Looking at her reflection, Brooke couldn't believe her eyes. Her makeup was fabulous, starting from her flawless pink lips with a hint of brown lip liner. Her contour was impeccable, adding to her well-defined jawline, making it perfect. Her eyes were traced with the perfect winged eyeliner and medium-length lashes, giving her the perfect cat-eye. "Thanks, sis," Brooke said, her light brown eyes holding a strong trace of approval. She picked up her laptop bag, work bag, and car keys. "bye sis!", She said, waving at her best friend through the door. Walking out of the building, Brooke couldn't help but be happy at the change in weather; the sun had finally come out to brighten the once-dull atmosphere. In an office overlooking the streets of Riverhill, there stood a very tall and handsome man. His silky, medium-length hair swayed with every gust of wind, hitting his forehead. In his hand, he held a folder tightly. His almond eyes held a strong hint of anger as he gazed at the busy street below. Arnold was lost in his thoughts. "Sir, are you listening?" Martin Smith, Travis's human resources manager, said while trying his utmost to get his boss's attention. "What?" Travis said, turning to face his employee. Seeing his boss's icy gaze, Martin Smith couldn't help but feel a chill in the air. "Sir, I came to inform you of the arrival of your new personal assistant." After laying out the ground rules to her, then led her to my office. "Right away, Sir," Martin said and exited Travis's office in fear. Brooke pov Looking around, I couldn't help but admire the inviting environment. The beautiful interior was eye-catching with its modern furniture. The place exuded a luxurious look, creating a welcoming atmosphere. Upon entering, I was greeted by a spacious reception area with a very friendly receptionist. Next to the reception desk was a welcoming waiting room with some of the most comfortable chairs I had ever sat in. After waiting for 20 minutes, a short, slightly overweight man approached me. "Good day, Mrs. William. Nice to meet you," he said, extending his hand for a greeting. "The pleasure is all mine," I replied. "Let me introduce myself. My name is Martin Smith, the human resources manager. Can you please follow me? I will be taking you around the company and then to your work quarters." We headed toward the elevator. As we toured the company, he showed me all the different departments and work areas. Finally, we reached the top floor. "Hi, Jenny. How are you?" he said, smirking at a tall, slender blonde woman who seemed to be in her late thirties. She was sitting behind a desk labeled "Secretary." Her figure was very thin with large breasts and a small waist, and her lips were unusually large. "Good day, sir. I am fine," she said while slightly adjusting her shirt, which made her breasts show a little more in her low-cut dress. While smirking, she sent a wink his way. Turning her head, she finally noticed me; her smirk fell into a frown. "This is Mrs. William, Mr. Greene's new personal assistant," Martin said, introducing us. "Hi," I said, extending my hand to greet her. "Oh, it's her!" she said, rolling her eyes and ignoring my hand. Clearing his throat, Martin tried to diffuse the tension in the air. "Come along now," he said, guiding me along the corridor. Here will be your very own personal space. Welcome to your office," Martin said, stopping at a white door. Opening the door, a medium-sized office greeted me. It had a very warm and welcoming environment, with a beautiful brown woodcraft desk to the left and a grey loveseat to the right with a brown coffee table beside it. Wide windows with plants on each table added a lively feeling to the office. Seeing my office, I was so happy with it. I loved that it wasn't a plain office, and I was looking forward to being productive in this space. "Thanks, sir," I said while smiling at him. "That's yours," he said, pointing at a laptop on the coffee table. "There are some emails on it that you need to complete before the end of the day. Instructions are attached to each one." "Come along it's high time you meet our boss". He said while escorting me to the door. Following him out the door. We made a left turn coming face to face with a door that reads CEO Seeing the sign on the door I couldn't help but feel nervous my hand sweated as it clung tightly to my skirt
