The following night, Y/N’s mind was racing as she prepared for work. She couldn’t shake the feeling that something was wrong. She’d seen the way Jungkook had looked at her — like he wanted something more, something she couldn’t give.
As the night wore on, she found herself lost in thoughts about him when the door chime rang once again. Her heart skipped when she saw him — Jungkook — standing in the doorway, looking even more intense than before. But this time, there was something different about him.
His usual cool composure was gone, replaced by something much darker. His eyes were shadowed, and his jaw was clenched tightly.
"You’re not who you say you are," he said, his voice colder than she had ever heard it.
Y/N blinked, taken aback. "What are you talking about?"
"I know what you’ve been hiding," he said, his tone hard. "Your father… he’s a part of this world. You think I don’t know? I’ve been watching you."
The words hit her like a slap to the face. She felt her chest tighten as her breath caught in her throat. How did he know?
Her entire world shifted in that moment, and the safety of her quiet life seemed to slip through her fingers.
"Who… who are you?" she asked, her voice trembling. But Jungkook didn’t answer. Instead, he stepped closer, the air between them charged with something far more dangerous than she had ever expected.
"I’m the man who’s going to claim you, Y/N," he said softly, his eyes never leaving hers.
