JIMIN
"Rosé?!"
Chaeyoung pushed me as she saw the guy who just called her.
"C-Chanyeol oppa!"
I looked at my girlfriend. She looked like she just saw a ghost. The guy then looked at me like he was gonna rip me into pieces.
"What are you doing here?" He said. "Is he your boyfriend?"
Chaeyoung looked at me then looked back at the Chanyeol guy.
"A-Aniyo. He's uhm... a... uh... chingu!" She stuttered which made me frown. She looked at me with begging eyes. I sighed.
"We're neighbors," I said.
"I doesn't looke that way," he said. "Before I called Rosé it looked like you were about to kiss--"
"Ah--Oppa!" Chaeyoung walked towards the guy and clubg onto her arm before dragging him away. "H-How's Auntie and Uncle? I haven't seen them in a while..."
I watched them as they walked away from me. I wast left there alone in front of the souvenirs shop. A few minutes have passed and Chae didn't come back so I decided to look for the others. I called Jungkook.
"Kookie? Where are you guys?"
"Food court," a woman's voice answered.
"Lisa? Why do you have Jungkook's phone?"
"I'm his girlfriend, duh," she answered. "And I thought it was someone else 'coz your name here is 'Midget'. It was late when I realized it wasn't a girl's name."
"'Coz you don't trust me!" I heard a faint voice in the background.
"Well, if you name people on your contacts like how a normal person would, I wouldn't doubt you a bit!"
"I'm hanging up now..."
"Oh, right. See you!"
Should I ask about that Chanyeol guy? Well, here goes.
"Ya, Lis," I said before we had the chance to end the call.
"Hmm?"
"Do you know someone named Chanyeol?"
"Chanyeol... Chaeng's Chanyeol? Of course! He's my classmate."
Chaeng's Chanyeol? Why would he be Chaeng's Chanyeol?!
"Waeyo?"
"We bumped into him and Chaeyoung's with him."
"Ohh..."
The other line grew silent.
"Lisa? Is there anything wrong?"
"Well..." she sighed. "I have nothing against Chanyeol oppa but he's kinda possesive with Chaeng. He'd always tell on Chaeng if she had guy friends to her dad. Chaeng's dad is really strict you see. She's not allowed to date 'til she graduates. Chanyeol's dad is best friends with hers so they kinda have this unwritten agreement that they would make their children get married or something."
I clenched my fist. "Oh. I see. Bye."
I ended the call and walked towards the foodcourt. From what Lisa said, I guess it's why she acted that way a while ago. I guess she's really afraid of her father.
"Chim!" Lisa called out while raising her hand. "Over here!"
I sprinted towards them and sat on the empty chair. "Sorry to disturb your date. Rosé bailed on me."
"I could understand why she did that," Lisa said. "That dude can be a little obsessive when it comes to Chaeng. He would tell on her all the damn time! He's to fixated on the fact that they will be bethroted to each other when time comes."
"Bethroted?!" I exclaimed receiving curious glances from Lisa and Kookie. "I mean, what is this? The 16th century?"
"Whatever. I really hate that guy. He bullies some of my classmates like Suho oppa. He bugs him to make his projects and homeworks for him. Like hello? We're in college, you dimwit. Not middleschool."
"So you doodled on their faces..." Kookie said a matter of factly. "Seriously woman. Your justice system is twisted."
She shrugged. Still, the idea that Chaeyoung will be married to someone else hurts him. Plus, why didn't she say that to me in the first place?
Lisa's phone on the table vibrated. It was Chaeyoung calling.
"Ya, where are you? What?! You can't just bail on us because of that i***t--well, we're your friends, Chaeng. Tell him you're with me, Jennie and Jisoo. And we just brought our boyfriends along. No s**t, Einstein. Lemme talk to that f--ker... Ya! Park Chanyeol! She's with us you son of a--- Ya!"
Lisa looked pissed.
"That asshole hung up on me. Oh my goodness! He's like a crazy boyfriend! If I see him around I will f--king end him-- ya Jimin! Where are you going?"
I didn't answer. Instead, I just walked away from them and looked for Chaeyoung and that guy. I do understand that that guy is a pain in the ass but, why couldn't she leave him? I get that she's afraid of her father but, couldn't she just reason with him? Or make an excuse?
I went back to the souvenirs shop and walked the path they took. I looked around but there was no sign of them. I kept on looking for them and realized I was just walking in circles.
Frustrated, I texted the others that I will be going home first. Well, since the sole reason I went here left, why would I stay, right?
I reved up my car's engine and was about to leave when I saw something I wasn't supposed to see. Cursing, I sped off not towards home but somewhere else.
As I pulled up on the driveway, I still had second thoughts. But my emotions are currently not in good shape so I just did what I felt like doing.
"Jimin?! What are you doing here?"
"I just..." I sighed. "I just need to let off some steam."
Sulli smirked and open the door wider.
"Come in. You're just in time."
