(Jake’s P.O.V.)
I put my shirt back in and pulled my pants back up buttoning them. Got out of
the car walked around and opened the door for my love. Seeing my dad in the
window I couldn’t really tell if he was proud or pissed. Honestly, I really didn’t
care. Helping my love down and out of the car I took my time being extra
careful to keep her away from any glass on the ground. I picked her up bridal
style and carried her all the way up to the front door, this was a normal thing
for us so people from the pack just smiled. Dad opened it before I could put
her down to open it myself. “Raini, Jake…Welcome home.” He looked passed
us to the windowless SUV. Shaking his head, with a hidden smile that only I
was meant to see he moved to the side so we could walk the rest of the way
into the foyer of the house. “Jake, do I even what to know why you busted out
the windows son?” You could hear the chuckle in his voice, so I am going to
go with pleased for 500 Alex, I thought to myself. My poor love was looking
down playing with the hem of her dress as red as a beet, bless her if she only
knew that her Dear Uncle Ben knew about her being fated to me, and the
things I had already planned on doing to her. “Nick caught me by surprise and
Neo was being a little possessive, I didn’t know he would be that fast to take
control of things, he wants his mate, and he is very pissed about how we are
going about this, even if he understands why it has to be this way.” I said
through mind link. “Oh, Sorry about that dad,” I said out loud “Um, I will see to it
that after Jason unloads Raini’s things that they are repaired. I threw a bit of a
fit.” He gave me an understanding look. “Once you get our girl settled in meet
me in my office, Raini sweetheart, I hope the trip was comfortable, Ali is
around here somewhere.” “Yes, Uncle Ben, the trip was good, just a little sad
about leaving everyone behind. After I get settled, I will go find Auntie Alice.
Umm… Jake, I’m going to head to my old room to start organizing my stuff…”
she said trailing off. “Love,” I said to her your old room is being turned into an
office. I will take you to our room right now.” She looked from me to dad who
was agreeing with what I said by smiling brightly at her. “Get to it Jake, I want
to speak with you as soon as possible.” I knew from his tone that what ever it
was it was very important. “Yes father.” Was all I said as I continued up the
stairs with my fiancé. I could not wait to see what she thought of OUR new
room. (Raini’s P.O.V.)
Oh, help me Selene I was so embarrassed, the whole time Jake was talking to
Uncle Ben, he did not put me down, even if I was struggling for him to. He
didn’t seem to mind though, Uncle Ben looked happy for us. I waved over
Jakes shoulder, as he carried me away. He just waved back with the biggest
grin on his face winking at me. I wandered if Jake was going to tell him I knew
everything now or not? Then another thought came into my mind. I will now be
sharing a room with Jake. I had my own room here for when I would come
stay over when I was younger and yes sometimes, we slept in the same room,
even the same bed, but we were so innocent then. It is funny know to think
about it now. When Jake went to his uncle’s pack and I would come over I
would sleep in his room. Uncle Ben and Aunt Ali were ok with it. I wonder f
they know we are mates? Not having realized we had made it to the elevator I
was brought back to reality when I heard the faint ding to signal that it was
fixing to open. Relived that the pack new we acted like this due to being best
friends was and understatement. So, no one looked at me crazy for being
carried like this through the pack house. Plus, I am sure they are all aware we
are getting married and with us being one of the rare cases on where the bride
and groom were ok with the arrangements and happy with it, it was another
day here at the Opal Moon. We stepped into the elevator and went up to the
fifth floor. I did miss being here. The pack house itself was beautiful. It was
five stories tall, the fifth floor was for The Alpha floor, fourth floor was for the
betas, third floor was for Gamas, second floor was for the Omegas that
worked in the house, first floor were common grounds, kitchen, mess hall,
game rooms, pack daycare, spas, salons, theaters, you name it and chances
are it was here. When we made it to the fifth floor, I noticed that Jake was
serious about sharing a room when he went skipped straight over my old
room after taking a left, and even his old room. “Jake?” I asked clearly
confused. “Love we had a new room prepared for us.” Was all he said. Looks
like we both will get new rooms. “So is your old room going to be turned into
an office as well?” I wandered. “Yep!” Was all he said. At the very end of the
hall straight in front of us was a door just like on the other side where uncle
Ben and aunt Alice slept. Jake put me down to open the door, “Ok love cover
your eyes.” I did as he asked but because he knows I have a pension for
peeking he put his gigantic hand over mine. I heard the knob turn and was
guided inside the room. Once inside, Jake said “ I hope it is you your standards.” Removing his hand, I couldn’t help but be exited. I was suddenly
left without words.
