The nightfall comes and Derek still is not here. I wonder what is keeping him, was it his old friend? That asked if I was the girl I wonder what he meant by that.

I need to try to escape too see Jenny. I need to warn her to stay away from Jake. She is my best friend and I don't want to see her get hurt.

I lay on the bed clicking my heels, when the door opens, I jump up straight away to see Derek standing at the door. He has changed clothes from earlier. He has black skinny jeans on with a gray top that doesn't leave much to the imagination. You can see he nice pecks and muscles underneath. His hair as always looks like he has styled it, what I would do to run my fingers though his hair.

"Are you checking me out," he says taking me out of thought he has a smile perked up on his lips. I feel heat rise to my cheeks as I try to defend my self "No I was just wondering why you where taking so long."

Nice save but not good enough apparently.

"Sure you were" as he gives me a cheeky wink. "I wouldn't blame you love I am hard to resist."

"Don't think to highly of your self will you" as I roll my eyes. He lets out a soft chuckle that I would gladly listen to all day. He starts to wonder around the room hand in his pocket. "Do you like the room?" he says causally like trying to start a conversation.

"Yes its nice Derek Its not everyday you get kidnapped and get put in a luxurious room" while raising my eyebrows at him hoping he can hear the sarcasm in my voice. "But I need to talk to you about something more serious."

"You don't waste time do you." he responds while swerving over to me. he becomes quite close to me. I look to the ground while I can feel his eyes burn at the top of my head.

"Look at me Ellie" he swiftly orders. He puts his hand to my face to make me look at him. Gosh his face, it was like it was carved to torcher me.

"Now that's better what is it you wanted to ask me?" While his fingers trail to my lips, his touch send waves though my body. As I look into his eyes, his eye colour has changed to a deep red that are captivating, it looks like he has ruby's in his eyes. He is licking his lips like he is hungry for mine and I can't help but bite mine. He becomes closer our noses touching I can feel his breath on my lips. My whole body tenses up as he slightly picks me up and places me down on the bed. He gets on top of me slowly parting my legs so he can get in between. My whole body is on fire I want him so bad. My body wants him so bad. He has gone hard down there, I let out a groan, as I feel it in between my legs I need more. He lets out a soft laugh "Turned on are we. That's one of our powers we lure you in thinking you want us." So we can do what ever we like, and all you would feel is pleasure, most women beg for it." He wastes no time and gets up and moves to the end of the bed. "We don't just bite to give the pleasure, we can also lure them in with our scent, or eyes." He sits and the end of the bed and rubs his hand through his hair while letting out a sigh. What he doesn't realize, He can't lure me in for me to want him, because I want him anyway.

I'm all flustered and unsatisfied I might add. But I'm glad we didn't go any further there's to much unanswered questions. That I need to know.

I get up to go sit near him at the end of the bed he looks to me "You wanted to know more, not all vampires are bad but we have to feed and we make it painless as possible he says while letting out a sigh."

"Derek I think your friend Jake has been feeding off Jenny." I say concerned.

"My men feed of many men and women Ellie it's how we keep strong I can't keep track but I ensure you she is safe vampire law won't allow a vampire to kill a human with no reason it is treason."

"It would make me feel better if he didn't drink from her again" I look to him pleading with my eyes.

"I'll see what I can do but I ensure you she is safe." while pulling me into his lap so effortlessly, I lay my head on his chest and sniff in his scent. He smells so good.

"Why don't they remember you drinking from them?" asking another question.

But he replies almost straight away "We use compulsion its like an illusion, we tell them to forget and they do. Some vampires compel some don't."

Oh that's why, she would not have remembered and why she couldn't recall most of there conversation that night when I asked what they talked about.

"How old are you?" I look up to him waiting for that reply.

He laughs and says "are you ready?" I give him a nod while smiling "I'm 1218 years old."

I look up to him gob smacked I didn't expect the answer.

"You don't look that old grandpa" I snigger at my own response. He just gives a slight smile but I see loneliness longs in his eyes.

"I was turned by my father when I was 28 Years old, The 8th vampire to be made. So I look 28 and have done for centuries. Now if you don't mind, that enough questions for tonight, you need to eat so I have hired a chef to cook you food." 

He told me as much as he could I think it was getting to him.

He takes my hand and we leave the room, I haven't seen past this floor so it will be nice to see the rest off the place.

As soon as we reach the oval stair case I was in awh. Derek looks to me, "You like what you see." He must off seen my reaction.

"Yes this place is so lavish," I say quite impressed I haven't seen a place quite like it before.

He lets out a laugh before pulling me down the stairs. Everything so clean and white. Marbled floors through out. The entrance has white big double doors and a bar near the entrance. Quite a lot of plants in the rooms we enter. We get to the kitchen. It seem quite, I look to Derek "Is this your house" "Yes" he replies "This is our safe house most of the elite stay here." "Where are they all" I question. "There at the club you work at the club I own." "You own that club?" I say surprised. "Yes Its a club for humans and restaurant for us I made it so we could feed." He says playfully but I know he is not playing.

"Come on the chef has made you something quite nice. Do you like stake?" He says as he looks to me while letting go of my hand.

"yes I like stake not like I have it that much though."

"Why" he looks a little confused.

"Well stake is expensive Derek so I usually just stick to simple foods."

He squints his eyes in mock, "No wonder your so thin come on lets get you that food."

Nice so Derek thinks I'm thin.

I follow behind him until we come up to a big oak table, he pulls out a chair and orders me to sit. while he goes off to pull a chair out for himself, next to me. He sits down and lets a slight cough out. He looks to me and smiles "I hope your hungry" he says placing his napkin on his trousers.

"Are you eating I mean can you eat" I say trying not to offend him. But he just laughs "Yes we can only eat raw meat or blood." without thinking I say "Ew." "Don't knock it until you try it." he says all amused.

I can't help but smile at him, He is a vampire yet I find myself more attracted to him now then I did yesterday. I think I'm F**ked up.

"Derek do you kidnap allot of women, and hold them here?" I say in a jealous tone.

"No just you love" he gives me an cheeky wink. I don't know why that made me happy. Before I knew it the food came out it looked delicious even Derek's, and I'm not for raw food but it looked appetizing to me.

I scoff the meal down I didn't realize I was so hungry, but with everything I'm not surprised.

Derek starts talking after finishing his last bite of his raw stake "So an old friend came by to see me today, and he will be doing some tests on you to find out what you are. I will be with you through out the tests so there is no need to worry?" He says with a convincing smile.

"What do you mean Derek, test me for what, I'm human or I think I am. Yes I heal fast and might smell different to you and other vampires but it might all be nothing." I look to him for him to be logical about all of this don't you think if I was something other then human I would know.

"Well then you won't mind the tests if you think your human then you have nothing to worry about." He arches is eyebrows as if to challenge him. But not so long after he says something that hurts and I don't know why. "If you are human, which you are obviously not all human, I will let you go and you won't hear from me again. I will ensure you and your friend stay safe. But if you are not all human you stay by my side. Have you got it?" He command no more playfulness in his voice. It was like he was making a deal.

I don't know why but it hurt to think that if I am normal if I am all human I won't get to be near him again see him again. To feel his touch again, and that hurt.

The only words I could say in that moment was "Ok."  As I look down to my plate just not been able to understand all these emotions and why they were so strong, mainly towards Derek what is up with me. I couldn't hold back the tears yet again they fall on to my lap. I hear a chair grind on the floor, Derek kneels down beside me as he put his hand to my face to look at him. His eye are apologetic, and his voice is so soft.

"It will be ok Ellie I'll be here you don't need to worry."

Why is he been so nice, If only he knew my feelings.

Someone like him could never be with someone like me.

But whatever these test show I will have to prepare myself for either outcome.
