91 Tarkyn sent Farlowe away to give himself breathing space to think. He sat on the edge of the bed for some minutes, mulling over the events of the past day. He had changed. The world had changed around him and he had responded. Now he held Eskuzor in the palm of his hand and he wasn’t at all sure that he wanted to let her go. He gave his head a little shake as he remembered that the bodies of his brothers lay not one hundred yards away from him.
