52 Danton came to, lying on his side, feeling horribly nauseated. He rolled over groaning and saw Rainstorm lying motionless beside him, white as a sheet. When he lifted himself shakily onto one elbow he could see Ancient Oak and Melting Snow lying on the other side of Rainstorm in a similar condition. He placed his hand on Rainstorm’s chest and was relieved to feel it rising and falling regularly under his hand. With another groan, he flopped back onto the ground and waited for the waves of nausea to pass. A few minutes later, Danton had recovered enough to begin to take an interest in his surroundings.
