45 As time passed and Rena still did not return, Harkell’s family became increasingly concerned. Harkell placed his faith in Tarkyn and did his best to allay their fears but he was not helped by Waterstone’s obvious anxiety. Eventually Sorath taxed the woodman, “Why are you so worried?” He frowned fiercely. “If Prince Tarkyn forces himself on my kin, we’ll go after him, prince or no prince.” This idea was so preposterous that it surprised a smile out of Waterstone, “Oh no.
