33 Kosar lay in bed in that lovely twilight consciousness between sleep and wakefulness. His dreams had been filled with scenes of departure; packing, preparing his horse, inspecting his men and setting out for places unspecified in his dream world. As he moved the next step up towards consciousness, he remembered with intense satisfaction that his unexpected battalion would arrive in the afternoon to really put Jarand with his underhand scheming back in his place. He gave a small sigh of contentment and rolled over for another short snooze before rising.
