Hearing the doorbell, Elena assumed it was Dolphus returning. She opened the door while holding Aaron in her arms.
But standing outside was Beta Drake. When Drake saw Elena holding Aaron, who was dressed in his small pajamas. Drake’s eyes were all over the boy’s face.
“What do you want from me this time?” Elena asked.
Drake coming back to himself. “I heard that you…” he stopped mid-sentence when Aaron looked up at him curiously. Drake quickly changed his words. “I won't want us to discuss anything in front of this little boy. So can we step outside?”
Elena nodded and placed Aaron down. “The milk is off the fire. Wait for me on the sofa.”
