Werner’s Attempt
Werner twitched his shoulders. It felt like someone was watching him.
He furtively glanced around and, seeing no one suspicious, shook his head as he walked toward the Gymnasium. Maybe he was just paranoid. Since Johann’s murder, he felt like everyone around him was watching him with accusatory stares. Because of the stress, he had lost weight and retreated more and more inside of himself. Sleep was an erratic visitor. It had come to him last night but did not stay long.
