The Beauty of Death

Week 2 + Characters

1. Amaya

    a. Background: She is the secret child. She fell from a tree while out exploring and was dead when she         was found by her parents. After the doctors and police left, families in witch society handled their         own burials and how they dealt with the dead, Amaya had come back to life. It was then that her         parents became suspicious of her skill being necromancy. When she had awoken her hair had         changed from mousy brown to silver white, and her eyes from a gorgeous green to a brown color that         looked deep red when the light hit them. She was always having to hide when others came to the         house to visit, but she had a happy childhood. her parents lived on the outskirts of town so she was         able to play and grow in privacy while enjoying all the joys of the woods and wilderness. at the age of         18 the enforcers came to her parents house on rumor there was a child there. Her parents hoped their         safe house hidden in a hillside cave would keep her safe but the enforcers used Skrivers ( a goblin         type of dog) to find her. This is when she is taken to the auction where the story begins!

    b. physical appearance: about 5'5", medium build. light, athletic build.  red/brown eyes with silver/white         hair. She has a facial tattoo as well as tattoos on her shoulders.

    c. personality traits: reserved and unsure. She is not outspoken and when she does speak it is not done         loudly. She finds joy in the simplest of life's pleasures and enjoys trying new things and learning new         things as well. she has a lot of hobbies but has trouble sticking to just one.

    d. Social Relationships: (best friends and relatives): Tunari, the local wise woman, who has helped guide         her and instruct her to use her necromancy as an air skill so that others will not know that her skill is         one dealing with the dead. She is close with her parents of course and once she moves she becomes         close with some of the other witches at Jackson's home. 

2.. Briar

    a. background: raised in a strict household where traditions are upheld to the T. Being 3rd in line for the         alpha king throne his parents have raised him to know the ins and the outs of royal hierarchy. He is         taught that witches are simply tools for their disposal. to be used however their master believes they         should be treated. He has been taught that no one is above his family, aside from his aunt and uncle (         the alpha king and luna). While his parents have their sights set solely on their son gaining the throne         he has a good relationship with his aunt and uncle who spoil him and treat him as their own son as         they have none.

    b. physical appearance: think Jensen Ackles in supernatural for features. sharp chiseled and rugged         features, very  handsome. straight mouth, defined chin. always with a 5 o'clock shadow. eyes are         such a light blue that they appear grey.  6'4" very tall with a muscled build.

    c. personality traits: stoic and reserved. he does not let his emotions show since emotions reveal         weakness. He has a cold exterior but is yearning for love and attention that he very rarely gets. And         the physical attention he gets from Lilith cant fill the void. He has a soft and tender side but this is         something that he never gets to show anyone. 

    d. Social Relationships: His best friend is Jackson. Their families, being the 2 most powerful families,         have formed an alliance of sorts and the two boys grew up together. Lilith is his mistress and while         she does not provide a close friendship she provides him with interaction and physical attention. His         sister, Anne, is a bright light in his life and she is the only one to know of his softer, tender, loving side.

3. Arnold and Renae

    a. background: Renae is 2nd born to her family and Arnold is 3rd born to his family. neither have had to         be taken by the enforcers but both of their oldest siblings were and they never heard from them         again. They greatly fear Amaya's discovery and try everything to hide her from the fate the fell upon         their older siblings. They met like any couple normally does, while at the local market after Arnold         family had moved to the area after his oldest brother had been taken. His parents wanted nothing to         remind them of their eldest son and had moved to a place where nothing would remind them of their         loss.

    b. physical appearance: Renae is 5'6", medium length blonde hair with darker blonde streaks.         blue/green eyes. she is toned and able bodied but not athletic like she was in her younger years.         Picture Jennifer Anniston for her. Arnold is 6'0" with an athletic toned body with hints of a dad bod. he         has dirt brown hair with hints of silver starting to appear. thicker eye brows that cover honey brown         eyes. I like to think of Misha Collins for his looks.

    c. personality traits: both happy and loving. very protective and set on keeping their daughter for as         long as they can. Over time they became very paranoid and hermit like, enjoying space away from         society.

    d. Social Relationships: They are close with the local neighborhood wise woman, Tunari, who helped         give Amaya's mother, Renae, more insight into the possibility of Amaya having necromancy as her         skill. She helped teach Amaya to hide her skill and appear to be an Air specialist. But after Amaya's         accident they cut off all relationships with everyone they knew.

4. Lilith

    a. background: Her background we do not know much of. She was bought a couple years ago by Briars         family as his first witch. her skill is seeing into the future and she specializes in the reading of taro         cards to tell what is to come.

    b. physical appearance: soft, sultry features. Dark brown hair and brown eyes. pouty lips. always wears         too much makeup. clothes and makeup always have to go together and compliment each other.          stands at about 5'3" and curvy. Picture Samantha Robinson as Elaine!

    c. personality traits: closed up, likes to keep her secrets secret. She feels that the only thing keeping her         relevant is being briar's witch.  She is constantly trying to please him and does not like when other         witches catch his attention or try and do anything for him. Although a servant/slave/worker/mistress         she is very possessive of her master.

    d. Social Relationships: She has no friends. she cut ties with all her family back home. She is so         obsessed with Briar that she pushes everyone away. While she is known by everyone it is not in a         positive light and she is accepting of that.

5. Anne

    a. Background: raised in the shadow of her brother briar, she was never left wanting. if anything she         was more free to do as she pleased compared to her older brother. While the importance of learning         traditions was there it was not pushed so strongly upon her. she grew up bubbly and happy and         curious about everything. She looks to new people coming into the family as a way to learn more         about the world and is constantly in the library or on the computer watching documentaries.

    b. physical appearance: Blonde hair perfectly curled, baby blue eyes. her hair is always in a half pony         tail topped by a bow that compliments the outfit of the day. She is a young teenager and still has a         slightly gangly giraffe appearance as she is still growing. 

    c. personality traits: Doesnt care for personal standing. Would rather be outside exploring, in the library         learning, or pestering the workers and witches with 100 questions about the world that she will likely         never get to experience herself. While the workers/witches scold her about her being so carefree they         also care for her deeply and she is much loved by the whole community. Her bubbly and friendly         personality make it hard to not like her.

    d. Social Relationships: a friend to everyone. But she has no same age friends. being part of the royal         family she is not allowed to go and socialize in a school with other werewolves and has a private         tutor. So she finds friendships with the witches and workers. 

6. Jackson

    a. Background: Grew up similar to Briar. While not Royal like his friend, his family is very strict about         keeping up public appearance and acting appropriately. He grew up with a strict household. Witches         provide them with food, and having witch blood as their food source it makes them stronger and         more powerful then if they were to drink any other blood from another source. Witches, as he has         been taught, are food sources but they also come in handy in using their skills to assert power over         other vampires and control those around them. He and his family are cruel to the vampire society,         using their witches to control, manipulate and maintain their status in the vampiric society. 

    b. physical appearance: dark brooding looks but a friendly smile. he stands at 6'1" and had a small thin         build to him but has an aura of strength that surrounds him. His skin is pale as though he has never         walked outside but he gets weekly spray tans to maintain a more human look even though it is not         necessary. He has dark brown, almost black, emotionless eyes. Picture Michael Trevino.

    c. personality traits: witches and all other creatures, including lesser vampires, are only tools to him and         he treats them as such. He is devoid of emotion and believes that everyone else is the same as him,         that any emotion shown is not only a weakness but an act put on by others to try and get something         from him.

    d. Social Relationships: his best friend is Briar as they grew up together. While aloof he does feel a close         connection to his friend and it is possibly the only true friend he has in his life. He secretly has         feelings for Anne but he refuses to acknowledge his feelings and insists they are not what they are.         that he only feels protective of her out of his friendship with Briar.
