Lycan's Doom

Chapter Four

Eros's Pov

I have tried for days to let go of this feeling, but Evan refuses to let it go. I always wait for her to finish cleaning my room, and I go in immediately to bask in her scent. I don't know if he found out what I was doing, but I will give it to him. He is really good at this stuff. This took a toll on my body whenever a scent dies down, that seems to be the only thing holding me from going after her.

I was in my office this morning when my door opened. The only one who can come into my office without first announcing their presence is him. I was awed when she walked in, Daniel must have led her there.

I didn't know what to do, Evan was so happy with her around. I wanted to sit beside her, but I have a more pressing issue, and with her scent here is enough to keep me going.

We had a little discussion when she finished eating.

"She is talking freely around us now." Evan said squirming around me.

"We are making progress, with time she will feel it." I said.

When she told me that she was rejected, I felt hurt, but more hurt when she said that I can fight off the feeling and disregard her. If it was to be that easy, I would have done it. Evan also felt hurt by her words.

Daniel has already informed me of this, I guess on their way here.

It seems as if she was thinking, but it's hard to know what she is thinking for now.

"What is it?" I decided to ask after her silence.

"What if we ."

"Am sorry I don't know whether I am meant to say this." She said, leaving me curious.

"What if we, like stay toget…." She didn't say anything again, but I already know what she wanted to say, what I have been hoping for, am glad she thought of it. If I had said it, it would have looked like i'm forcing it.

"Do you mean stay together, till you feel the bond?" She nodded her head. I took her hands, and pecked it. Today is my best day for the past month.

Lilah's Pov

I don't want it to seem like I am desperate to be with him, maybe because of his power, but am doing this out of pity.

I shivered when he pecked my hands. We stayed silent for a few minutes. Before he went back to his desk.

"Can I go?" I really want to use the toilet,

"Aren't you comfortable here?"

"No, I really want to do something."

"I will have Rose assign that to someone else."

"I don't think someone can do this for me, it's personal." He gave me a weird look. I was about to start squirming on my seat.

"Ok" I dashed out of the room immediately. It was at this moment I hated using the staircase.

"Make use of the elevator." I turned and saw him standing in front of his office. I tried not to run, as not to make it obvious.

Immediately the elevator opened I ran to the to my room.

"Who is after you?" Hailey asked, but I ignored her and ran to the toilet.

"What were you saying?" She started laughing at me, I did the same to her the day she ran into the toilet. We are becoming closer each passing day.

After our chores we come back and stay with each other, I got to know that she is an orphan, that Daniel brought her here.

"Are you done laughing?"

"Yes, No." I sat down on my bed.

"Where have you been?" Hailey asked.

"Somewhere."

"Don't tell me, you sneaked out of the castle."

"I didn't"

"I would have been angry if you left without me."

"Is it really possible to sneak out of here?"

"I don't think it's possible, those that tried got punished severely. I looked for you everywhere, I even went to the punishment room, to know whether they caught you."

"Am here now." We had a little catch up before, we heard a knock at the door, Hailey being close to the door,opened.

"Hailey, someone wants to see you." I went to the door and saw Daniel.

"He wants to see you." I followed Daniel out, but this time we went towards his room. Like always, he opened the door for me and left.

Eros wasn't in the room, but I could feel his presence. I saw him step out of the bathroom.

"Why didn't you come back?"

"Ehhhm, I didn't know I was meant to come back." He engulfed me in a hug from the back, I was surprised. I have heard about wolves being so possessive about their mate, is that what all this is all about.

"I was waiting for you."

"I got caught with Hailey."

"Who is that?"

"My roommate."

"You will be moving upstairs."

"How?"

"Your room is next to mine."

"No, that will make people know." He furrowed his eyes at me.

"You don't want people to know about us."

"At least not until I feel the bond." He nodded.

"That sounds good, but you are still moving up here." There was a twinkle in my stomach about how he wants to be with me. If the wolf king wants to be with me, I will give it my all, till I feel the bond. It's time I forget Clint.

"Ok I will move, but tomorrow."

"No tonight."

"Why are you in such a hurry?"

"I just want you here." I hugged me again, I hesitated before I wrapped my hands around him. I pray that the Moon goddess helps me. I don't want to hurt him.

He released me and stared at my face down to my lips, our forehead was touching. He leaned down and smashed his lips against mine, his hands found their way to waist and he deepened the kiss by drawing me closer to him,it was like fireworks exploding in my head, electricity traveling in my body, I like love the feeling of his lips on my mine, I wrapped my hand around his neck. It was simply an innocent kiss yet filled with passion, I was lost in the kiss that when he detached himself I was still yearning for more. Our nose was still rubbing, as he stared deeply in my eyes, our lips still lightly touching.

"Come let's go and eat." He said.

"I'm not hungry yet."

"That's why you are skinny." I smiled, yes I know that's why i'm skinny, when I only eat twice daily, with barely food that will contain me.

"Ok, can we eat here?" I don't want people seeing us.

"I will have Rose bring the food." He sat beside me on his bed, I love that feeling of the bed is so comfy. There was a knock on the door, and Rose entered pushing a trolley of food inside. She squinted her eyes at me, but I removed my eyes immediately. We began eating, everywhere was silent, I was stuffing my mouth with food that I didn't notice that Eros was staring at me.

"You are eating more than the hungry one here." I smiled, I slowed my eating.

"You don't have to stop because of me." I shook my head, and he giggled. I turned immediately to look at him, smiling.

"Why are you smiling all of a sudden?"

"You are laughing, and that's a sight." He changed his expression immediately.

"Why did you do that? I like it more."

"Let's eat." Changing the topic. When we didn't finish. I packed the remaining.

"What are you doing?"

"Am packing the plate."

"Leave it."

"No, I want to do it." I said I had a motive for packing the food. He kept staring at me.

"Lilah, leave those plates." He said angrily, this made me stop. I got so comfortable with him that I forgot that he is really the King and hated disobedience. I dropped the plates and moved slowly and sat down on the couch.

"Am sorry." I said, afraid to look at him.

"Come here."

"He said tapping on the bed." When I got there. "When I say you should, you have to stop."

"I wanted to give to Hailey." My voice began to quiver.

"Why."

"I know her food won't be enough for her."

"What do you mean?"

"Our food barely contains us, since I have eaten, I wanted her to get enough." He kept silent for a few seconds.

"Don't worry, she will get extra." He said rubbing my back.

"Thanks. I should leave you to rest." I said standing up.

"Where are you going?"

"To my room." He stood up and took my hand. I thought he wanted to take me down, but he took me to the room next to his.

"Here, your room." I turned and saw that the room was decorated in light pink, and the vanity table was full. I turned and smiled at him.

"Have a good night rest." He said pecking lips. I looked around the room, I checked the wardrobe, it was full of clothes, but none of the things from my room were there. What if after all this and I don't feel anything, he will surely hate me, let's see how it goes.

When I woke up the next morning, I checked my time. Am late for my chores. I dashed to the bathroom and brushed my teeth. 'Rose will kill me today.'

I ran to the kitchen, I saw the other servants, talking in a hushed tone. I heaved as I didn't Rose.

'What could be the cause of their murmuring.' I jumped out of shock when someone tapped me.

"Hailey, you scared me."

"Where were you, you didn't return after you left with the Beta?"

"Let's work, we will talk later before Rose comes here."

"You don't know about Rose."

"What about her?"

"She is in the punishment room."

"What did she do?"

"Ok, here is the thing. Yesterday night we received extra food, after our dinner. Only to find out that Rose has been selling out our potion of food, leaving us with little to eat. I don't know how the Lycan found out." She said in a go.

"f**k, this is because of I said to him yesterday." I said to myself.

"So answer me now, where were you?"

I don't know how to go about this, I can't hide it from her, news will still get around with time.

Eros's Pov

I was angry when Lilah didn't return later. Eventually not me, but Evan. I sent Daniel to get her for me.

We had a little discussion and dinner. I was angry when she said that the servants don't eat enough.

Evan scowled at me when I raised my voice at her.

I called Daniel immediately after I showed Lilah her room.

"I want you to find out why the servants don't have enough to eat." He left and came back thirty minutes later.

"It's Rose."

"What did she do?"

"She sells half of the food meant for the servants leaving them with only half."

"First thing in the morning I want her in the punishment room."
