Chapter Two

Eros's Pov

After I had my morning exercise, when I got to my room the same scent wafted into my nose again like before. The same scent like the day I met the girl cleaning my room. My wolf, Evan liked the scent, he snooped on the scent like a dog and smiled.

"I like the scent, it's comforting" He said.

"Evan, can you please relax your nerves? I am dealing with a lot now, to be after a scent."

"But I like the scent"

"Please not now." he went on rambling about the scent. I had a short night because of Evan, but truly as Evan said the scent is comforting I tried.

I called Rose the next day, and asked her to get me the girl that cleaned my room.

I was in my office with my Beta Daniel, when she came in with a girl.

"She is not the one," Evan said.

"You cleaned my room yesterday?"

"Yes"

"She is lying, ask her the color of your sheet," Evan said eagerly.

"You didn’t" I said and she stared at her spot. "If you really did, what's the colour of the sheet you removed yesterday? Daniel smirked from his seat.

"Am sorry, My Lord" she said, falling on her knees.

"Go and get her" she hurried and left.

"She is here," Evan said.

"Come in" I said before she could knock. Two ladies entered the room. Evan became so happy.

"Calm down," I said to him. The same scent from yesterday wafted into my nose.

"You can now go," I said to the first girl.

"You, come closer" she moved closer to my desk, the scent became thick. Her eyes were fixated on her feet, she didn't look up.

"Look up" she hesitated, she raised her head a bit, avoiding my eyes and lowered her head immediately.

"I said you should look up," she shakes her head. I smirked at her and moved closer to her and she stepped back. Daniel giggled from his seat and I sent him a glared

" I want to see her eyes," Evan said. I ignored him and moved closer to her, I raised her chin up. I stared into her eyes.

"What's your name?"

"Lilah"

"She is the one," Evan muttered to me. "But why is she not feeling it?

"I don’t know," I said to him.

"Then you have to find out, because I cannot even communicate with her wolf."

"She is an Omega, I don’t think you can communicate with her wolf." I was brought out when she removed her face from my hand. I turned and looked at Daniel, and he got the que immediately and left. I moved to the couch and sat down.

"Come and sit here." I said, patting on the space beside me.

"Am good here." I was trying to contain my anger.

"I COMMAND YOU TO COME SIT HERE. She hurriedly sat down.

"Come closer"

"You are making her afraid," Evan said.

"What do you have me do when she is not feeling this ache?"

"She is obviously afraid of you, maybe that’s why she can't feel it."

"I have heard you, I will be gentle."

"Do you feel any kind of way, right now?" She shakes her head.

"Are you sure she is the one?"

"Your human can also feel it"

"I know, what are my suppose to do, she don’t feel anything, and mate are meant to feel it at the sight of each other"

"That, we have to find out. But I don’t want to go, can you let me stay here, I like the scent" our conversation was cut short, when I heard the rumble of her stomach.

"Have you eaten? '' she shakes her head again. "Use your word." I mind linked Daniel to get food. I went back to my table to continue working.

"No"

Liliah's Pov

I was brought out of my thoughts when my stomach rumbled. I'm sure he must have heard that. He left the couch and went to his seat. I was becoming uncomfortable, the door opened, and the young man from earlier came in. I recognized him from his shoe and the material of his trouser. He was walking towards me. I couldn’t look up. He placed a tray of food on the small table beside.

"Look up" that voice belongs to the Lycan. I raised my head and came face to face with the young man, he is very charming.

"Stop staring at him" a voice growled beside me. The young man in front of me smirked.

"Daniel , you can go"

"Eat." I turned, and looked at him. He can't be serious, what's going on here. He had me sit here while he worked, now this bulky man is serving me food. He raised his brow at me, I turned and dug into the food. The food is more delicious than the one we eat, I try to ignore his presence and enjoy the food. I felt a pair of eyes staring at me. I knew he was the one, but the food was too delicious to ignore and look at him even though he looks more delicious. I heard him clear his throat when I finished eating, so I turned to look at him.

"Do you know me" he asked me

"Yes, who doesn't" I muttered the last part to myself.

"ok I heard that, so who am I ?"

"you are the Wolf King"

"No, I know that part, is that all you know about me" what is he getting at with this, everything is getting weird by the seconds.

"Yes" he furrowed his face, as if my answer just angered him.

"Am sorry, if I angered you." he looked down at the file before him.

"Where have you been before now?"

"White Crystal Pack"

"Doing what?"

"Paying for being an Omega" had him looking up immediately.

"How did you get to the Crystal Pack?" What does he intend to do with all this information?

"My father gave me to their alpha for his debt." he kept quiet.

" Lilah, who am I to you?" That's the most absurd question.

"My Alpha King" he shakes his head, as if that isn't what he was expecting to hear.

"No, that and more," he said, still looking at me.

"Am your …." he said and stopped, as if the word was stuck. "Just, you can go." I scurried out of his office immediately. I met Daniel walking towards his office, he looked at me and continued walking.
