Mark locked the door and smiled at Callie. His heart was pounding as he strode to where Callie stood beside the bed. Mark slipped his arms around her waist as Callie wrapped her arms around his neck. Callie kissed him hesitantly before it grew deeper and more desperate the longer it lasted.
“I love you so much,” Mark whispered into her lips as they kissed.
“I love you, too,” Callie breathed between kisses.
“Mmm… wait,” Mark said as he broke the kiss. He hurried to the wall of windows and the balcony doors. Mark pulled the drapes, darkening the room and giving them privacy. Mark grinned, “I was so focused on you that I almost forgot to do that. Now, we can enjoy the firelight.”
