Mark had been up since well before dawn. He smiled as he admitted to himself that he was excited and even a little nervous about spending the day with Callie. The only time they had been alone together since her return to Green Forest was the night in her parents’ guest house. However, he wasn’t sure that counted, since Callie had fallen asleep and Maya was in the next room. Today, it would be only Mark and Callie in the forest.
