Claire had a splitting headache by the time Kenny had come to the kitchen to collect take-home boxes for Mark and that redhead, Callie. She knew it was because she was clenching her jaw. Claire was doing that constantly and tensing up each time she heard the woman’s name mentioned or heard her and Mark laugh. It was disgusting. Within minutes of Mark leaving, she had left the lodge using the back door that led out of the kitchen work area. Claire had hoped the drive would distract her and ease the pain in her head, but it had failed.
