The sun shone brightly, and the weather had warmed slightly by the time Mark and Callie reached the ski lodge. Mark pulled into his reserved space and shut off the engine. He continued to sit behind the wheel as he let out an explosive breath. “You’re not ready to eat lunch yet either, are you?” Callie smirked from the passenger seat. “No. I’m not ready for lunch yet,” Mark admitted. “Why don’t we finish your shopping at the lodge store before we eat?” “Good idea. It will give me a chance to work off those brownies,” Callie laughed as she hopped out of the SUV, not waiting for Mark to open her door.
