A Chance Encounter

Months passed by and the uproar began to die down. Sandra got a job at a small company to keep herself busy. The money she got as alimony from Steph was enough to last her a lifetime. Sandra had decided to stay away from social media for a while. Her life was normal. Things were moving steady. Until Fergus Rodriguez, came into her life and exposed her to a world she never knew existed. One she had always wanted and craved. It all started that Saturday evening when she had crashed at a coffee shop to have her favorite coffee with the purpose to cool off her stress from work and rid herself of the unpleasant feelings she was having these days. Sandra stepped out of the coffee shop, lost in thought, and did not notice the tall man walking towards her. By the time she saw him, it was too late, and her head had bumped into his rock-hard chest, causing her to tumble to the floor. “Ow!” she cried. “Are you okay, miss?” the man crouched beside her, trying to help her up. She could not help but notice how deep and sexy his voice was. Her head was still down, and when she saw a pair of large, tanner, shiny hands hold mine, she looked up and…and… Staring at her with earnest and the most beautiful eyes she had ever seen was a handsome man with a crew cut, and whose beard was so clean-shaven she gasped. He was cinnamon-complexioned and when he smiled briefly, she caught sight of his dimples. He was so hot! And from his looks and color, she could tell he was Italian! She could feel her face flushed. “Miss, are you alright?” he asked again, his eyes laced with concern. She could not reply. Her eyes trailed from his face to his neck and his chest. They were huge, so huge, the luxurious suit he wore could not hide its sexiness. Even his abs were visible from his clothes. His arms, oh, his biceps! 'What am I doing? Drooling over a stranger?' She shook her head. “No,” she replied, “Yes, I'm fine.” He helped her up. She avoided his eyes. He was so gorgeous he looked unreal. “You are sure you don't need anything?” he asked. “No, thank you. What about you?” “I barely fell. Goodbye,” he said and walked away. She looked at his back as he walked away, drooling, and only just noticed the two hefty bodyguards trailing behind him. He looked like an important personality. A celebrity maybe? She continued walking and took a taxi home. $$$ “I'm sorry, Sandra. But you will have to go without her," said her friend, Vera over the phone. She sighed heavily, disappointed. “Why? You should have told me this before making me dress up. You know I never wanted to go to this event. You are the one who convinced me to go,” said Sandra. Vera had informed her that she would be committing to visit her that Saturday. She had even naught tickets to a nightclub where she said a famous singer would be performing. “I'm so sorry, babe. Something came up, and I couldn’t go any longer. Just go without me. After all, you've got the tickets already.” Sandra wore a tight fitted gown, and left for the nightclub.
