ANDREA’S POV Forcing my eyes open was a struggle. The light was completely blinding. Blinking rapidly to try and desperately adjust revealed lying on a narrow bed fitted with stiff white sheets. Hearing machines beeping rhythmically on my left provided a steady soundtrack. Looking around confirmed being in a hospital room, or perhaps a busy emergency bay. Having a sterile curtain pulled entirely around the bed successfully separated me from the rest of the busy room. A doctor was standing directly next to me. Being notably young with glasses and an incredibly kind face, he was actively checking a digital monitor. "Where am I?" I asked. My voice emerged as a rough croak because my throat felt exactly like dry sandpaper. "You're at Lenox Hill Hospital," the doctor said. Smiling gently,
