CHAPTER 13
'I'm drugging his body. This is so exhausting. I need to get out of here, need to get away from him. I don't want to do this. What if I drop him here and run? I will escape this way. No, I can't do this. I can't or else...I will hate myself.
I'm in pain. I can't move. He pulls my hair and I feel my scalp stretching. No, I can't, don't touch me!'.
"You are awake!" Xialing says with her soft voice.
"You need to get ready for the meeting. Everyone is terrified. What happened Leona?".
She stays silent. She isn't sure what went down. A memory pops up in her mind though.
"Josh called me Leona".
Xialing realizes what that means.
"He knew?" she asks.
"I think so, I'm not sure. It was his last words.. How did he know?".
Xialing pulls out the necklace.
"Is this his?". Leona nod
